Miércoles, 6 de febrero de 2013. Nació el 24 de febrero de 1918 en Santa Isabela de la Lajas y desde muy pequeña se trasladó a Sagua La Grande donde ha vivido toda su vida. Comienza la práctica del boxeo profesional a la edad de 20 años bajo las orientaciones de Manolo Yánez. Siempre peleó en las 180 libras, a seis asaltos. Era una boxeadora de mucha movilidad en el cuadrilátero y tenía un buen jab recto de izquierda. Segundo combate: Vencedora, en Santiago de Cuba frente a la habanera Silvia Hernández.
