Thursday, October 11, 2012. I bought the above on eBay - a dark blue vintage briefcase once belonging to piano teacher containing music books, examination information and certificates. These music scores are what I have used as my backgrounds in my latest Piano Ladies. These are old cuttings also in the case. They are pieces of music torn from newspapers - there was also a Radio Times supplement with these, dating 1934. Lovely colours and below some finished work inspired by these. Say food say me.

Sunday, July 1, 2012. London for the day! Oh what a lovely day in london with my sister. Went to see the ballgown exhibiton at the V&A. Which is a must for anyone who likes a lond, pretty dress. Thursday, October 20, 2011. I'd love to design some scarves! I bought a copy of World of Interiors a few years ago. The cover was interesting as it had a room with scarves framed on the wall. I'm selling some paintings as prints already and I thought scarves may be a another nice idea. They can be framed or worn, simple as some of my monoprints, or maybe more complicated tailor made paintings. I also do so very much love my vintage souvenir scarves! Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Monday, July 16, 2012. Trying to work with the monoprinting and the ink together. In reality it is not working as well as it does in my imagination but I shall persevere. The work is placed in water (I think this is where the cracking of the glaze happens - but can't be sure). Then the work is rinsed, any stubborn areas scrubbed and there is your finished piece!
