It was a cool crisp morning about 10am the water was a deep blue color as an elderly couple planted potatoes in the distant field. Seeing Life as an Artist. Friday, November 29, 2013. Roan Painting Trip - June 2013. On June 3, 2013 I made my annual trip to Roan Mountain at the NC/TN border. Due to a conflict in my schedule I missed the rhododendron bloom as well as many of my artist friends. I arrived at Carver's Gap, mid-day on June 3rd so I only got 4 done before setting up camp. 2 - 6x8 oil curve of Round Bald, cloud light drama with atmosphere to add layers. A look down the bald Southeast view. Face-lit vista looking southwest.

Night in pisgah →. February 10, 2013 · 2:34 pm. I’ve been sick most of the week with a nasty cold. Just sick enough so that my body won’t work, but my mind will. What a frustrating combination! My family can tell when I am on the mend because I start getting really hungry and begin fixing meals at random hours of the night and day. This was particularly delicious. 1 apple and 2 large whole dates, diced. 1/3 c whole rolled oats. Handful of raw almonds. Tblsp of raw honey. Pinch of cayenne pepper.
