Sentinel Steam Loco 7109. Vertical firebox showing the 90 water tubes. Fully assembled April 2011 when it passed its first hydraulic test at 412.5psi. 7109’s 275psi boiler is a vertical water tube type with superheater fired from below via a firebox door. Two new items have appeared on top of Sentinel 7109's cab roof: to the left is Nigel's coffin and to the right is a rather fetching and elegant periscope (respectfully looking away from the coffin!
