Strawberry Fields: ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT

Thoughts about life, death, war, peace and everything in between - from an army wife whose husband is on his second deployment in Iraq. Sunday, February 06, 2005. ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT. I’ve talked to my husband about this, if it would be better if he didn’t come home, if it would be too hard then to face the patrols, the raids, the IEDs, the fighting. After he’s worn civilian clothing again and can eat a meal without a rifle by his side, will it be too much to put his desert boots back on?

The most important things in my life are my beautiful daughter, my wonderful son, my amazing husband and our two dogs, and one cat. Friday, April 15, 2011. We are all guilty of this! I go to school, work, take care of the house, dinner, whatever needs to be done there and then have no time for myself. I'm wrapped up in trying to make a living for my family by working and by going to school ensuring that in the future I can provide more than I can right now! I cry about that too! The Story of My World. As you enter into the New Year, please REMEMBER those DEPLOYED "and" HOSPITALIZED Troops! PLEASE send LETTERS, CARDS, or phone cards! We will be very appreciative! Friday, January 21, 2005. A few thoughts to share! So i stand before myself once more soul torn from my flesh. Lying dead in the floor my mangled form struggling to hold on to what i've lost. My life is an empty grave the streets we walk are paved in politics it's almost enough to make me sick. Posted by GR at 2:21 PM.

~Relatively Unbalanced~: December 2004
http://sweetgrrrl.blogspot.com/2004_12_01_archive.html
Growing old is inevitable. Growing up is optional. Wednesday, December 22, 2004. I'm angry.very angry. What type of cowardly, evil people are we dealing with in Iraq? What type of ineptness on our part has made the evil intentions of the so-called insurgents successful enough that they could slaughter our young men and women while they have dinner? The deaths of so many young Americans in such a God forsaken place at the hands of such scum makes me want to bomb them back to the stone age. I'm kidding....
