Shabby Sheep: April 2011

http://shabbysheep.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Saturday, April 30, 2011. Finished the hooked purse and some gardening! I finished the purse just in time for my mom’s birthday on the 27th! I tried something other than the pattern directions (imagine ME doing that! And braided 3 pieces of wool for the loops for the handles to go through. I love the way it looks. The pattern is Karen’s of Primitive Spirit. And she had used embroidery thread for the loops. It just didn’t look strong enough to me. Well, he told me I could go over any time and dig plants t...

See that cast iron skillet? 160; I wonder who put that there? Saturday I went with Tammy, her husband and his friend to Ash Grove, MO to a nursery I’d never been to.  Uh-oh! 160; I said did you count the 6 packs as 6? 160; They both said NO! I’ve planted Mon, Tues. and Wed.  No pictures of that new stuff yet! Hope you enjoyed your garden tour. Up the creek to...

Will it be you, or your best friend, mother, sister? I know I've been missing for a long time! I've been healing and working in the garden. http://shabbysheep.blogspot.com/2012/04/just-finished-watching-american-idol.html

Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Just finished watching American Idol. The judges seem to have chosen Skyla this evening, but I'm still sticking with Joshua Ledet! Who do you like this year? See Joshua here: Sorry I can't get the link to work, but you can copy and paste this in your search bar. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? I'm going to share more photos with you. Not really any great hooking projects to show. (I'm working on an original, but want to wait 'til it's finished to show). Out with the old. She sold...

Saturday, April 28, 2012. Of all the knitting patterns I have designed, one is very dear to my heart. I am talking about the Magic Slippers. This was a cute, quick pattern I designed in 2007 using what I called yarn walnuts, meaning left over sock yarn. At the time, I did not have a baby, my children had grown, and even the youngest one was 6. But last year, on August 28, I got a very precious gift! And this June, my oldest daughter will become a mother for the first time, and I will be a grandmother!

Thursday, May 31, 2012. I Love Early Mornings. The early morning hours, before the children are up, after my husband leaves for work, are a very special time for me. This is the time of the day I have for myself, when I can sit, drink a cup of coffee, hook a few rows, and enjoy the magic of the morning light. Early morning is when I write my daily blog post, sharing with you the few rows I hooked, the pictures, the sunlight. A perfect start to my day. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
