Sitting on Pens and Needles: July 2015

Thursday, July 30, 2015. Today is the last day for the boys' Pistol Shooting Club. Not gonna lie, I'm dancing the "happy dance" in my head (I can't be overly jubilant since I am in the minority about it ending). The twice weekly rushed dinners, followed by the crazed exit out the door, and grabbing stuff as we go (inevitably finding that someone has left glasses or some other crucial element at home) are almost over. Yay. I'm using the sketch from over at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Wednesday, July 29, 2015.

Mrs A 's Blog. It's the 2nd week of my Butterfly challenge. 29 Butterflies L is for Lace. Here is some more inspiration for you. 1st up is a Side Stepper card. Very easy to cut this shape using a ready made card blank. You just need a pencil, ruler, sissors and Scor-pal. Decide where you want your split to be and mark a line. Just under half the depth of the card using pencil and ruler. This card was 4.25 so I made my line 2.00. Cut with sissors then open card blank out flat. Of lace so I use sparingly.

Onsdag 3. juni 2015. Treasure chest - Skattekiste. In this post I will show you my first 3D work. I've designed this from scratch in Silhouette program and cut it out with my Portrait. I had fun working on this, although it took me some days :D. Must say I'm pretty proud of the result. Created this as a gift for my nephew who was had his confirmation this May. One of his hobbies are graffitti, so I hade to use drops and splatter too. Do you want to see? For a realistic look. Glimmermist, Stephanie Bernard.

The Ducks Doodahs (Tales from a happy crafter). Monday, 29 June 2015. The One That Got Away. . . . . . . . . Good morning paddling chums. Hope you are all well. Accidents happen but to just clear off without telling me is out of order. . . . . . . . mind you, I'm assuming it was the child, perhaps it was the mother lol! I tried to capture the sheen from the mica that I used on the panel. . . . . . . . John Lockwood's Daffodil Burst stamp. HC Sunkissed Fleur die (for the daffodils). Yellow and orange mica.

Sewing Challenge at Moving Along with the Times. I got to pick the theme this week for the Moving Along with the Times. Challenge, and it's sewing! I pulled out a set I hadn't played with yet and decided to do something sort of vintage looking. What do you think? I inked up the edges of the kraft paper with distress ink. The sentiment was computer generated. The sewing machine, scissors and thimble all came from my new stamp set. I just love this combination of kraft and black! Can you believe we've come...
