I suppose some of this may read as a shameless self-promotion to get friends and family to come out and visit, which it kind of is. Kat and Laura surely recognized the value in having a good friend living in remote Japan. When else are you going to have a tour guide built into a friend in one of the more accessible, yet less traveled, parts of the world?

Back in university, I decided to major in music because I knew it might be the last chance I would get to seriously study music before going into medical school. So officially, I was a music major, but was taking an equal number of classes in the sciences to complete the prerequisites for medical school. Now, heh, wellpeople were certainly not understating the screwiness of this test. I had my first lesson, at 7am (! I’ll leave you all with my favorite little tidbits from the lesson:. Use your blinker/winker a LOT. No brakes allowed on turns. You can add another name to the list of folks that passed the test the first time! I can do ANYTHING!
