I started basting hexagons a few months ago because 1) they’re adorable, 2) they’re addictive, and 3) they’re very satisfying to make and take with as a small traveling-bag project. I ran into a problem though when I found out I don’t really enjoy joining them. I think this largely has to do with the lack of a thimble in my life. Suddenly it was big enough to do. Since moving into the new house I’ve been tackling all these great little projects that I can now do with the freedom of owning a single family home. So of course I put up a bird feeder! So for this bird feeder I just cut four 14″ lengths with 45-degree angles on both ends. And these handy dandy right-angle clamps were awesome to work with when screwing it all together.
