A Life Lived While Being 6 Foot 1 and Counting. A Little About Me. Monday, March 23, 2015. Junior Nationals in Truckee, CA. The complete IMD team. Junior Nationals started off with a long drive through Nevada. And let me tell you, Nevada is definitely NOT known for their scenic drives…But we were. Driving to Junior Nationals! After the fun 8ish hour journey to Truckee, we made it to the condos at NorthStar, our living quarters for the next week. Team Utah taking Truckee (minus a few). The first race of t...

The race season has officially started! Plus, we go to know our fellow Utah team, Soldier Hollow, a little bit better. One of our very fluffy friends that we made on our way to Jackson. Whereas in Park City, all you could see was the occasional ice patch here and there. A beautiful shot of the Trail Creek Ranch. The next day ...

Amanda Kautzer: Ski 'n Shoot: April 2015
http://amandakautzer.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Amanda Kautzer: Ski 'n Shoot. Saturday, April 11, 2015. The season officially ended with Junior Nationals in Truckee, California. There was just barely enough snow for a 2.5K loop, but we made it work. Adaptability is a great trait for skiers! We started the week by acclimating, which included ski dates. It's a Midwest tradition to get dressed up and have a ski date every year, and it's always a blast! J1s rocking the sassy ski date outfits! We also got to spend an afternoon exploring Tahoe. Race 2: 5K s...

Maddie Morgan: A Little About Me
http://maddiemorganskis.blogspot.com/p/about-me_3.html
A Life Lived While Being 6 Foot 1 and Counting. A Little About Me. A Little About Me. My name is Maddie Morgan and I am a competitive cross country ski racer. I am currently out of school because I attend the Winter Sports School in Park City. The WSS is a one-of-a-kind high school that allows winter athletes the opportunity to go to school all summer and in turn have their winters free of homework and classes. Aside from skiing I am actually an artist! I love to draw and to paint. It keeps me sane w...

Gliding through life :). Blog Posts Every Monday! July 28, 2015. August 17, 2015. I have decided I will be blogging every Monday! The past two weeks have flown by! Between PT three times a week, strength three times a week, and cardio six times a week, my days quickly pass by. This past week I hopped on some rollerskis for the first time since my surgery! I was able to complete two sessions of 15 minutes of double poling on the treadmill. I must say rehab is not easy! The “cripple crew”. And tonight I he...

https://jkernski.wordpress.com/2015/08/04/big-busy-week
Gliding through life :). August 4, 2015. This past week was the biggest week of training I have had since my surgery…12.5 hours of training! I was doing all sorts of training such as AlterG running, double poling on the treadmill, biking outdoors and indoors, ski erging, strength and core training, swimming, and pool running. I had one crazy busy week! I got a bit more outdoors this week and also made new friend! My new friend doing his intervals…his technique is pretty darn good. On Saturday, which is m...
