Malin to Mizen 2007: May 2008
http://m2m007.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Malin to Mizen 2007. An expedition from Malin Head to Mizen Head in Ireland, by cycling, walking and kayaking. Tuesday 13 May 2008. 12th August 2007. Day sixteen. I packed my equipment on the bike and headed off, leaving the charming, hospitable and comfortable Agherton Lodge B&B, with it's winding driveway and elegant horses. I told myself I'd come back someday. The house in the backround has no connection to this trip! I turned left in Millstreet and headed south between the Derrynasaggart and Boggerag...

Malin to Mizen 2007. An expedition from Malin Head to Mizen Head in Ireland, by cycling, walking and kayaking. Thursday 19 June 2008. 13th August 2007. Day seventeen. To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield. Alfred Tennyson, "Ulysses". I got up and had a big breakfast - my usual feast of a big fry! I was very very close. I took the small road to Mizen and cycled on excitedly. I was in terrific form. It didn't matter that I had spent the previous sixteen days pushing my body each and every d...The r...

Paris to Rome 1995. Friday, 1 September 1995. Gallia est omnis divisa in partes tres. Date 01- Sept 1995. Ave speed (kph) 18.1. Max speed (kph) 56.6. Max Height (m) 440. Today climb (m) 1045. Was up and about before the hotel staff this morning but the wait was worth it for the breakfast - the sort of breakfast I had expected in France - a great big cup of milky coffee and lots of fresh bread. I could have stayed in this town all day but there was a long way to go so I set off again. At. Then I rolled in...

Just had to publish a day early this week as I know you just wanted to be sure that your newly adopted team won through. Whether you wanted to or not you have followed their adventure since June. Next morning we ‘did’ Stavanger much as we had done Oslo previoulsly, bu...Next we d...

Arctic Bikes: November 2007
http://arctic07.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 5, 2007. But you see the only snag was that when we. The trick was to guess correctly whether to aim above it or below it before were reached each other. The lorry immediately behind me did not allow for a stop option. I went right, which also proved to be correct as and the box snaked left and I stopped in the hard shoulder further on. Amazing the effect shock has on the body! From that warm June morning on a Dublin quayside to this cold November night, it's been a pleasure. Paris to Ro...

Arctic Bikes: July 2007
http://arctic07.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 31, 2007. A whale of a time. Today we headed for Ǻlesund. But first things first. Down to the single computer in the lobby to access Andy in America and see what he had been up to in the previous week. That was the week of the Puerto Rico Parade. Seamus was in Ballinskelligs. Now he's somewhere in the mountains of NW Ireland! But it was also a feature of this trip that each corner brought a new experience. We arrived at the first Ferry (Anda to Lote) as it was pulling in. Great timing!

Arctic Bikes: August 2007
http://arctic07.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 28, 2007. The timing is out a bit on this post as it's being published from the USA: and as a result Andy in America has had to postpone his masterpiece! A word of advice to start.never try shaving with an old blade! It was, however, our first time to do it and we were prepared to share our day with like minded souls. We had only about 80k to do to 66°33’ and we savoured the journey, stopping en route to take photos. Around a corner and the trees petered out and the snowline appeared....
