Purple Martin Vintage: Queen Tuft
http://www.purplemartinvintage.com/2013/07/queen-tuft.html
Wednesday, July 24, 2013. One thing I've been wanting for a long long time is a beautiful fabric covered headboard. Preferably with lots of beautiful plump tufts. Like this beauty. Sooooo for a long time now I've been drooling over headboards online, pinning them on a pinterest. There were no staples in the stapler and there was none to be found anywhere in the house. Drat! So I picked it all up and pouted and went to bed. But today is a new day! Oh my word, my heart is racing, I can't breathe! Is it rai...

Purple Martin Vintage: 'THE' HEADBOARD
http://www.purplemartinvintage.com/2013/07/the-headboard.html
Thursday, July 25, 2013. What's the obsession with headboards these days? As I mentioned in my previous post I decided to use the bed we already have, with a headboard and footboard and to make a covered insert to fit on the headboard. My hubby measured the opening and cut a board for me. You can click on any of the photos on the blog to enlarge them. I wanted to add to it so I covered 42 buttons in the same fabric and will place one on each tuft. The fabric - this more closely depicts the actual color.

hope & salvage: November 2013
http://www.hopeandsalvage.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 30, 2013. Two of a kind. I've had two curio cabinets in my 'studio' awaiting a final decision on color for a few weeks now. One was missing the front glass due to breakage in a move. At first Kathleen was leaning toward a 'greyish charcoal', but my procrastination on not jumping on the first color selection, lead to a S U R P R I S E choice. Here is a before of the glassed front cabinet. And the glass-less one. A couple of views of the top portion. This has been on the ground for the p...

hope & salvage: The Nationality Box
http://www.hopeandsalvage.com/2016/08/the-nationality-box.html
Wednesday, August 24, 2016. This discarded, old oak box with neither top nor bottom was given to me by my friend, Ken. [You are always in my prayers] He rescued it from the Mall of. Aka, the curb. Well, Grandson Liam just graduated from high school and is already playing college soccer. I had no bucks for a gift so this became "it". I call it The Nationality Box. These next photos are taken in his dorm room and filled with supplies that his mother gave him, not me.]. The day the order was issued to eradi...
