Focus | gaudium de gaea

What is this all about? Posted by Fantastic Four in Life. Tags: what happened to focus? Focus is shifting, drifting, diminishing, briefly recovering, drifting. Never thought it’d be such a challenge to maintain focus on anything, big or small. I want to be able to focus into a matter, like the rays of the sun going through the magnifying glass, all but reduced to a pinpoint of light, so intense you can start a fire only with a handful of dry leaves. Practice… but how? Thanks you two. *hugs*. You are comm...

My own little empire: June 2008
http://wind-sand-and-stars.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 June 2008. I must say, I am a little bit disappointed - this is the figurehead I was so absorbed in that I almost missed an excellent photo opportunity. Apart from the mad frenetic look upon her face it would appear that this particular figurehead is not even carved out of wood. If you look closely you can see where the paint has chipped revealing what looks like fibreglass underneath. What is the world coming to when we can't even get a decent carved wooden figurehead any longer? For some rea...

Wednesday's Irish politics blog: Overheard in Leinster House
http://ceadaoin.blogspot.com/2008/06/overheard-in-leinster-house.html
Wednesday's Irish politics blog. Overheard in Leinster House. A Fine Gael TD making a call on their mobile:. Hello . , can I get back that €20 I loaned you yesterday? I'm meeting someone for coffee.". No wonder Enda Kenny has been so critical of the Government this week. You know times are tough when even culchies earning upwards of €95,000 have to go around begging for change for a cuppa. I like this blog. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Wednesday's Irish politics blog. In other Blueshirt news,. It seems that little Terence Flanagan managed to fill only about a third of the thirty minutes alloted to him to speak on the Electoral Amendment Bill in the Dáil today. He was the first opposition speaker to participate in the debate. I guess that's what happens when you have nobody to plagiarise. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Wednesday's Irish politics blog: July 2007
http://ceadaoin.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday's Irish politics blog. Justice has been done. I'm on holiday at the moment but, predictably, I'm still checking the news from Ireland every day and as might be expected from this post. I've particularly been following the Joe O'Reilly trial. The verdict today was exactly what I'd expected, and hoped for. Explain it away, I mean) - and Joe O'Reilly's didn't. The jury has to find the defendant guilty beyond a reasonable doubt - not beyond any. About his whereabouts at the time of the murder, it w...

Wednesday's Irish politics blog: Quick note on "pairing"
http://ceadaoin.blogspot.com/2008/09/quick-note-on-pairing.html
Wednesday's Irish politics blog. Quick note on "pairing". I'd imagine that few people, other than anoraks such as myself, had any idea what Enda Kenny was talking about when he announced that Fine Gael would refuse to "pair" with the Government over their refusal to allow a debate on the economy. Under the vote-pairing deal, opposition TDs absent themselves from votes if a minister – with whom they have been “paired” cannot be present due to official business. And if you want to know how I know that FG (...

Listen to your life, then write about it sometimes. Community development and church planting. All change →. From inner East to outer East. October 31, 2011. It’s been a long time since I visited this blog. A lot has happened since my last post in February 2011, although its mainly been the addition of a baby to the family and house move. Plus I think my attention span has suffered due to facebook and twitter to such an extent that writing a blog entry seems like so much….effort. Welcome to the Been.
