Learning the art of the longbow. October 17, 2010. First indoor comeptition…. Typical archery competition setting. The youngsters to the right. And the elderly to the left. Byggnadsvårdstok, som är helt besatt av allt som ser ut att vara gammalt. På min blogg kan man följa renoveringen av vårt hus och tanka. View all posts by mittgamlahus ». Laquo; Previous post. https://longbowing.wordpress.com/2012/02/25/long-time-and-so-on
Learning the art of the longbow. February 25, 2012. Long time… and so on. I got some complaints today about not upgrading the blog. Well, I guess I should take that as a compliment, since my posts must be worthwhile reading. The question came up at today’s spontaneous practice at the Karlskrona archery club. Swedish Championships (indoor) for youth are coming up next weekend, so the youngsters needed som extra practice. Another lovely experience this day was to see how archery. Laquo; Previous post.

Learning the art of the longbow. August 23, 2010. Lesson learned # 27 – Mounted Archery. Standing on one’s feet is not the only way to do archery. I used to be quite a dedicated horse back rider (mostly western). So, when I got to know they had Swedish Championships in Mounted Archery for the second time and not too far away, I put three teeneagers in the car and went to somewhere in the middle of the forest. The Swedish Mounted Archers) arranged their second championships in Hälleberga Medieval Village.

Sunday, 6 May 2012. South Wilts Shoot Report 5th and 6th May 2012. With the success of last years Bluebell Shoot South Wilts were again running it over two days with camping and partying on the Saturday night although given the weather of the previous week the field was likely to be wet and as such I decided I'd rather drive than camp. Rob was also having a slightly bad day given that he had just recovered from back problems and by half way through he was in the situation of drawing until it hurt and the...

District championships | Learning the art of the longbow
https://longbowing.wordpress.com/2010/11/22/district-championships
Learning the art of the longbow. November 22, 2010. Every year the Sweden South East Archery District has a competition. This year it was in a very rainy Olofström. But, who cares, it was in-doors. We had to be divided into two halls and the longbowers (together with the compund veterans) ended up in the small hall. Half an hour into the games we realized that we all missed the youngsters – it was deadly quiet. You could hear if someone swallowed! Gold medalist meets silver medalist. Laquo; Previous post.

Learning the art of the longbow. July 26, 2010. Swedish Youth Championships 2010. Last weekend the Swedish Youth Championships were held in the region of Skåne. I had engagements elsewhere, but I was texted reports every day. And my youngest did really well – three medals! One gold and two bronzes! Three clubs arranged each a competition. On Friday the youngsters competed in 2D Archery in the woods of Satserup. So where did it go? I'll get that weasel. Walking in the woods. Receiving the bronze medal.

Learning the art of the longbow. September 20, 2010. More from the Swe Championships in 3D. Finally, I got myself some time to cut a film about the Swedish Championships in 3D. Swedish Championships in 3D Hunt | Learning the art of the longbow
https://longbowing.wordpress.com/2010/08/31/swedish-championships-in-3d-hunt
Learning the art of the longbow. August 31, 2010. Swedish Championships in 3D Hunt. It was almost impossible to find any sad faces in Borgholm last weekend. Even those who had a bad shooting day seemed to have a great time – probably due to the fantastic competition environment. This year’s competition was held by Oskarshamn and Kalmar in the ruins of the castle Borgholm. The first day was a bit cloudy, but the second day was sunny and warm and it was a pleasure for both archers and visitors. What is wro...
