Tuesday, April 17, 2007. Anahoa Bay, Nuka Hiva. 10:00am Apr 18, 2007. On the 35mi trip up from Fatu Hiva we saw some birds diving on the water. We took aim at the flock with 2 lines in the water and Bang - two fish on. The first once got away but the meat hook (our trusty back-up) served us up a delicious 30 lb tuna. Monday, August 06, 2007. Apia Harbor, Western Samoa. August 5, 2007. We found muddy footprints on the floor and items of clothing strewn about the salon. Lockers were opened and stuff was missing. We had been robbed! They took ipods cell phones, watches, peak-caps, and board-shorts. Kurt’s and Andy’s backpacks were missing including traveler’s checks and a number of bottles of liquor. Friday, February 02, 2007. The other day someone stopped by our boat and shouted Southern Star sure does looked lived in! With some promises of tacos and a bath I got her to the closest hotel, spent the night and at 8:00 am on Sunday we repeated the process back to Puerto Vallarta. Ok, so on my list of things to do in my life a long distance bus ride in Mexico was not on it but hey, I can say it is something I did! And bravo to Kendall for sticking it out with me. Saturday, June 09, 2007. Finally a few minutes to update our adventures! Kendall and I met Southern Star in Papeete in May. Mark met us at the airport with leis and Kendall was over the moon to see Dad! She ran into his arms grinning ear to ear, squeezed and couldn't let go! It was so nice to see my handsome husband! Thursday, September 20, 2007. How can it be September 20th already? I was just checking Mark's blog to find out where in the world he is and I hopped to mine and couldn't believe I hadn't posted an update since the Cook Islands! It's not that nothing exciting has happened since then, but wow time sure has flown by. Kendall is enrolled in Berkeley Montessori through September and loving every minute of it - although she does know we are leaving for our new house in 2 more weeks!

Saturday, June 09, 2007. After our romantic family reunion in Tahiti, Kendall and I returned to the unseasonably cool weather this spring of the Bay Area. We had to find some sun quick! I am dying to go back. When it was time to check out Kendall asked please could we stay here, she wasn't ready to come home, nor was I! Again, back to the routine of work and life at Grandma's. Tuesday, April 10, 2007. Kendall and I enjoyed Easter in Berkeley with Family, Mark is still on Hiva Oa and the crew of Southern Star enjoyed Easter lunch at the Pearl Resort. Appartently there are some maintenance items that have delayed their departure from Hiva Oa, but I don't think anyone is complaining as the weather is nice, they are surrounded by other boats and most importantly good surf. Kendall and I have plans to meet Mark in Papeete in May, we are both so excited!
