Not the Life I Ordered....: March 2014
http://sue215.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Not the Life I Ordered. 40 seems like a good place to start - again. Wednesday, March 5, 2014. I dont do Lent. A solemn religious observance in the liturgical calendar of many Christian denominations that begins on Ash Wednesday and covers a period of approximately six weeks before Easter Day. The traditional purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer through prayer, penance, repentance of sins, almsgiving, atonement and self-denial.". I'm not really a fan. Don't get me wrong - that's. I attend a...

Not the Life I Ordered....: December 2014
http://sue215.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Not the Life I Ordered. 40 seems like a good place to start - again. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. I think the problem with resolutions is that we set our sights on the big picture, which is often overwhelming and takes a long time to achieve. I'd like 2015 to be a year of. Change. I plan to accomplish that by completing a few smaller goals:. Earn a new designation. Or at least start one - some take more than a year). Travel to someplace I haven't been. Learn to make something in my crock pot. I hope tha...

Not the Life I Ordered....: No argument here
http://sue215.blogspot.com/2015/04/no-argument-here.html
Not the Life I Ordered. 40 seems like a good place to start - again. Friday, April 24, 2015. Recently I've been in a couple of conflicts, with two unrelated people. In both cases, I came into the situation with a completely different perspective and recollection of what had happened to get us to the point of conflict. Both were convinced I was in the wrong. My views were "skewed." I was laying blame. I was being selfish, doing things only to make myself look good to others. I didn't argue because I hone...

Not the Life I Ordered....: Cancer season
http://sue215.blogspot.com/2015/06/cancer-season.html
Not the Life I Ordered. 40 seems like a good place to start - again. Saturday, June 20, 2015. I'm fascinated by Astrology. The rational side of my brain knows there probably isn't a ton of science behind it. The rest of me finds it to be a pretty accurate way to measure and predict moods and communication, and sometimes even events. I came across this post. A typical Cancer (that whole "loves to cook" thing sorta passed me by - but I do love to eat, so there's that). Recently, I have learned that while p...

Not the Life I Ordered....: November 2014
http://sue215.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Not the Life I Ordered. 40 seems like a good place to start - again. Monday, November 24, 2014. I am going to let you in on a little secret: Starting around November 15, I start wishing it would just be New Years Day, already. Sure, I enjoy my time with friends, and I like all the yummy food the holidays offer. Anyone who knows me knows I love Christmas presents (giving. I get a kick out of some of my holiday decorations, since I'm a sucker for glitter and sparkle. I have learned ways to find happiness&#...

Not the Life I Ordered....: January 2015
http://sue215.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Not the Life I Ordered. 40 seems like a good place to start - again. Thursday, January 22, 2015. I am a pretty anti-war person. I, personally, feel there is a diplomatic solution to every single problem humans face. However, I am also not an idiot (I mean not on most things; I still don't totally get football). Still, I went to see American Sniper. It's nominated for the Best Movie Academy Award, and I like to try and see the movies that make that list. The movie does a fairly good job explaining why sni...

Not the Life I Ordered....: April 2014
http://sue215.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Not the Life I Ordered. 40 seems like a good place to start - again. Sunday, April 20, 2014. In church this weekend, Pastor discussed celebrating and enjoying life. He talked about how much time we spend in pursuit of material things, or trying to please others. He mentioned reading once that the people you meet in life can be broken down into four categories:. 8226; 25% will not like you. 8226; 25% will not like you - but could be convinced to like you. 8226; 25% will like you - no matter what. This is ...

Not the Life I Ordered....: September 2014
http://sue215.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Not the Life I Ordered. 40 seems like a good place to start - again. Thursday, September 25, 2014. Most women don't think they're enough. Not pretty enough, thin enough, tall enough, smart enough, rich enough. Whatever it is - in our heads, we're not enough. We're even taught that if someone tells us we are {insert compliment}. It has taken me a long. This morning I ran across this post. How much better would the world be if every woman saw her own value? Knew her own worth? Don't dismiss the idea. R...

Not the Life I Ordered....: February 2014
http://sue215.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Not the Life I Ordered. 40 seems like a good place to start - again. Friday, February 21, 2014. On my drive to work this morning, I watched a driver in a car next to me roll - yes, as in crank. Down her window, reach her arm out and over, and splash what looked like Gatorade on the outside of her windshield. Of course, I can't be sure if it was Gatorade, or windshield washer fluid in a Gatorade bottle, as her regular method of windshield washer fluid distribution. Or what if she forgot? A thicker car mat.
