Monday, 15 August 2011. Paella for a Purpose. Our helper Ron (of Fish 'N Chip fame) has come up with another great idea. He's persuading pub chefs he knows to ditch their normal menus on nights that tend to be quiet, and instead run a special Paella Night. A portion (of the price, not of the paella! Will be donated to the charity www.supportingourheroes.org.uk. Quite a line in culinary fundraising you have there Ron! This week's venues are:. Tuesday 16th August, The Green Man, Wimbourne, Bournemouth.

Wednesday, 27 July 2011. This is always a spectacular show, and takes place this year 18-21 August:. We're hoping it will be a major fundraising opportunity for us, as folk attending are likely to be sympathetic to the aims of our charity Supporting Our Heroes, raising money for medical equipment for our returning wounded troops as we are. See www.supportingourheroes.org.uk. Martyn has it planned like a military operation. I swear he has a map on his bedroom wall with pins stuck in it!
