http://suresh-raj.blogspot.com/2010/03/debugging-early-boot-problems-in-linux.html
Friday, March 26, 2010. Debugging early boot problems in Linux. Posting only the portion I was interested in. Accessing the printk buffer after a silent hang on boot. This can also be useful when we are debugging the power management (that’s what I was doing when I wrote this). Sometimes, if the kernel hangs early in the boot process, you get no messages on the console before the hang. Sometimes it's just Uncompressing Linux. That's it. U-boot example on an OMAP OSK based board. C01eca94 b log buf. This ...

Cerebration: Simple stopclock using BASH
http://suresh-raj.blogspot.com/2010/06/simple-stopclock-using-bash.html
Sunday, June 13, 2010. Simple stopclock using BASH. Today I had to use a stop clock to time something in a program that I was writing. I found a way to use a BASH variable to make my simple watchdog. While some condition is true (I always tend to use data command). Seconds is a bash variable which will give the number of seconds since. The shell invocation. If a value is assigned to SECONDS, the value. Returned upon subsequent references is the number of seconds since. Something to pause the execution.

Thursday, November 01, 2007. Are we too afraid to dream big? Are we too arrogant to start small? Are we too knowledgeable to really listen or learn? Are we too self-centered to relinquish authorship or control? Are we too cynical to trust people? Are we too egotistical to admit error? Are we too insecure to try really different things? Are we too myopic to make history? Take from the slides presented at XLRI by Ingrid Srinath, CEO of CRY]. Thursday, November 01, 2007. Links to this post.
