50 and loving it. Turning 50. The highs, the lows, the ups, the 'sags'. It's a whole new world. Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Presents bought, tree trimmed, house decorated, turkey stuffed, eaten AND thrown out. Some guests have gone home, some remain. 2010 A year of contrasts. High highs and low lows. Many laughs, a few tears. Many lessons learned, some taught. I am reminded today, of all the blessings I have. They go not unobserved or unappreciated. I guess we all move about and change. Don't screw it up!

Of all the things I have accomplished in my life, I am most defined by this role. I am one of those women who always knew that children would be my "raison d'etre". Alas, my dear, sainted mother has always said to me that the hardest years were those spent observing. The Not Saying years. I've had them both. Survived both.
