Came back again to get some video of the pheasants when they are all grouped up late season. Luckily, the birds were bunched up and the action was fast and they got some great video. South Dakota pheasant hunting at it's finest! Thursday, May 1, 2008. Habitat, Habitat, Habitat. Well, it's time to replant trees again. Bernie and I are out planting in the wind and the rain for the next nine days. IT IS COLD! Some good news is that there are a TON of birds this spring. They seem to have made it through the winter just fine and the hunting should be awesome this fall. I'll keep you posted on what is going on. We planted close to 300 trees today! We had eight hunters mostly from Vail, Colorado, including Chuck's cousin and two nephews. We got our limit of birds every day. Ninetey birds in three days!
