http://makingmyhappiness.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 10, 2013. HIDAGITW - Day 3. Have I Done Any Good in the World? We had such a busy weekend! Ways I've made the world a better place:. Making a difference at the service project. Hopefully offering a friend some solid relationship advice. Soliciting some advice from others for my sister as she prepares to serve as a missionary. I functioned mostly-ok at work even though I hadn't been that sleepy in months. Saturday, June 8, 2013. HIDAGITW - Day 2. Have I Done Any Good in the World? Have I Done...

Making Happy: March 2013
http://makingmyhappiness.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 27, 2013. There are some days when it's really discouraging for me to get on Facebook. This week has had a few of those days which have been marked by the increase in conflict and propaganda. This week, it's about the constitutionality of gay marriage. My next grief is specific to this issue, and is hard to articulate. What hypocrites they are for their narrow-minded prejudice against religious faith! Monday, March 11, 2013. Why I Feel Like A Superhero Tonight. Well, it went like this:.

Making Happy: The Healing Power of Gratitude
http://makingmyhappiness.blogspot.com/2013/08/the-healing-power-of-gratitude.html
Sunday, August 25, 2013. The Healing Power of Gratitude. I thinked a good thought earlier tonight. That's when I realized something else. I think that being grateful and expressing gratitude is softening my heart towards God, which is yet another thing that I've been praying for. I feel less defensive and more open. Softer. It feels like a small thing, but it's a tender mercy and represents progress. I hope the trend continues. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow Me by Email! Enduring to the End.

Plain and Precious Things: October 2014
http://plainandpreciousthing.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Plain and Precious Things. Something to Support and Look Forward to. Captain Moroni and the Title of Liberty is my all-time favorite Book of Mormon story. We are at a point in our nation's history that we need a Captain Moroni to step up and lead the righteous to a restoration of our lost and crumbling liberties. Lt Lehi shared this with me on Facebook and I got so excited! Just want to share this with those I know. Spread the word! This is a vital story for the times we live in. Labels: Book of Mormon.

Plain and Precious Things: December 2014
http://plainandpreciousthing.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Plain and Precious Things. My prayers are less vain repetition and more heartfelt these days. I recommend giving it a try in your life. UPDATE: I re-found the blog on gratitude prayers. And want to share it for future readers. But maybe now he really does feel I love him for himself, which is totally true, and therefore he can return to church. Whatever the reason, I'm pleased, but I don't love him more, because I never loved him less. It gives me a glimpse into the heart of Heavenly Father and the Savior.

Plain and Precious Things: April 2014
http://plainandpreciousthing.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Plain and Precious Things. This is the talk I gave in Sacrament Meeting on Easter Sunday. Caveat: I didn't take time to put in all the scripture references. Most of it comes from the books of Moses and Abraham, as well as the gospels in the New Testament, with a little bit of Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants thrown in too.). Is that the end of our existence? If so, what is the meaning and point of all our suffering on earth? It is a bleak outlook. Adam and Eve continued faithful and prayed toget...

Plain and Precious Things: Judging
http://plainandpreciousthing.blogspot.com/2015/07/judging.html
Plain and Precious Things. From a blog I follow called The Deliberate Agrarian. Comes this insightful quote:. Pastor Steve Berger makes it clear that there are two kinds of judgement in the Bible. One is judgement that condemns, and the other is judgement that discerns between right and wrong, based on God's law (the Bible). Only God has a right to judge with condemnation. Christians are called to judge with righteousness and compassion.". October 19, 2015 at 12:21 PM. I agree with you 100%! My LDS Bookt...

Joy In Becoming : September 2014

To comprehend the works of Christ, one must know Him as the son of God, One must come to Him, to see and hear, to feel and know. The response must be a individual one"-James Talmage. Plain and Precious Things: February 2014
http://plainandpreciousthing.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Plain and Precious Things. I Like High Council Sunday! I know there's a common joke that High Council speakers are boring, even referred to as Dry Council, but in our little Twig (Branch) I LOVE the High Council speakers, and yesterday's were wonderful. We usually have only one High Councilman, who brings a companion of his choice to speak with him. Yesterday's companion was a youngish (anybody younger than me is young! The actual High Councilman also spoke about trusting in the Lord as we go through the...

Making Happy: October 2013
http://makingmyhappiness.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Well, I'm reaching the end of my first subbing assignment. It's been quite the 6-week journey. What is it that makes the long hours, low pay, and limited success worth it? I'm optimistic that satisfactory answers are out there. In the meantime, I'm going to keep learning and teaching as much as I can to get it figured out. I sure love the students I've had.
