What are YOU teaching and learning these days? | that teaching blog

https://thatteachingblog.wordpress.com/2013/02/09/what-are-you-teaching-and-learning-these-days

Persuasive Techniques →. February 9, 2013 · 7:35 pm. What are YOU teaching and learning these days? I don’t know if this will work, but I really hope it will. I spent about 4 hours today writing about my teaching for National Boards. I planned on coming home and writing an entry detailing all I’ve learned about Socratic Seminars this year, but I was sick of it after 4 sentences. I will finish soon, but for now, I’m tired of talking about what I’m doing. So I’m wondering, what are YOU teaching? Create a f...

What are YOU teaching and learning these days? March 12, 2013 · 7:38 pm. NOTE: I didn’t really find and classify these. I am pretty much stealing them from other people who did for the sake of compiling them in one place. This one almost caused me to spew Diet Coke all over my computer screen! Newer posts →. January 9, 2013 · 9:44 pm. Tomorrow afternoon, I’m heading to southern Arizona (pretty much Mexico, which sounds way cooler) to receive coaching and help courtesy the AZ K-12 Center on my National Board Portfolio. I’ll be there all weekend. That has nothing to do with this post, but please wish me well. I have so much I hope to accomplish. Now onto that radical thought. Teachers having input on policy decisions about education? It seems common sense, but if only that were true. But even mo...

Theme and Symbolism | that teaching blog

https://thatteachingblog.wordpress.com/2013/02/03/theme-and-symbolism

Livening up Literature Studies. What are YOU teaching and learning these days? February 3, 2013 · 10:35 am. We are just wrapping up a study of theme and symbolism. To help students, better understand, I used a Pixar short. When the students came in, their warm up was to brainstorm questions to ask themselves to help determine the theme or the meaning of symbols. We held a class discussion and created an anchor chart with our tips for each theme and symbol. Then, we watched La Luna. Tagged as anchor charts.

Lolie Jane: Mother's Day Wish List

http://loliecraft.blogspot.com/2015/05/mothers-day-wish-list.html

Saturday, May 9, 2015. Mother's Day Wish List. I'm supposed to want a hand print made by my sweet baby bird, and if I'm lucky, a few extra hours of sleep, right? To be honest, I would love those things, but the consumerist in me has an amazon wishlist a mile long. Here are nine of my favourites for Mother's Day. 1 bkr silicone and glass momoheart water bottle in sheer white. I drink a lot of water. I like a cute bottle to put it in. 2 fresh tangerine heart ring. 3 hello apparel I'm so tired mug. Ok, now ...

Lolie Jane: what we've been up to lately..

http://loliecraft.blogspot.com/2015/05/what-weve-been-up-to-lately.html

Friday, May 8, 2015. What we've been up to lately. This little bird loves to be outside. LOVES. I love that he does, even if I don't love the soaring temperatures we've been getting. I am an early Spring/Fall kind of gal. I've pinned a bunch on my outdoor play board. This is the stuff of dreams, right here. To go over top, with plans to plant climbing beans. I'd love to add some sort of water table on our patio too. Http:/ www.essays4me.com/. November 19, 2015 at 8:53 AM. شركة كشف تسربات المياه بالرياض.

Lolie Jane: August 2014

http://loliecraft.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 20, 2014. When the raspberries slow, and the black eyed susans bloom, I know Summer is winding down. It has been a cooler one this year (which I am so grateful for because I do not enjoy the heat), so the tomatoes weren't as bountiful and the cucumbers didn't last long, but we had some lovely harvests and some new to us produce. Zucchinis actually grew this year! Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Now We Are One. We survived the first year! This amazing little guy is a year old.

Lolie Jane: September 2014

http://loliecraft.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Monday, September 1, 2014. There's a room in our home that has been many things over the years - a guest room, a playroom, a den, a bedroom, a home office, and most recently, a catch-all for all the things. You accumulate when you try to squish two families into one place. It was such a wasted space, and I finally had to do something about it. There was a huge purge of things. And furniture that had nowhere else to go, and then the fun started! Also a thrift shop find). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hello,...

Wednesday, May 13, 2015. In the garden, 2015. Things are growing again! So what's growing this year? I planted a few new raspberry canes as some of the old ones really took a beating from Lola running in and out of the bushes. We also have some crazy weeds that strangle the bushes that are hard to keep a handle on because our neighbour in the back doesn't pull weeds and they keep coming through the fence. Hopefully the new canes take and we get some extra berries next year. Monday, May 11, 2015. Texture ...

Lolie Jane: October 2014

http://loliecraft.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 10, 2014. There have been the Fall flowers too. Lots of black eyed susans that have already been pulled out. They went to seed last year and overtook our garden because of it, which is funny because just a few years ago we had been talking about planting more because we had one lonely plant. Funny how that works! The marigolds (I think I need to plant half the amount next year) and autumn joy sedum have been keeping colour around, and the Fall crocuses have just finished.

Thursday, January 22, 2015. Some projects I've been working on over the past several months. After I ran out of limited edition yarn for the first milo. A mustard yellow hat. For the bird, and a new hat. Sewing with knits (this is the flashback skinny tee by made by rae. Which I need to do more of. I have some great fabrics ready. Lolie Jane: Josh's sensory board

http://loliecraft.blogspot.com/2015/05/joshs-sensory-board.html

Monday, May 11, 2015. I've been pinning sensory boards on pinterest. I chose my favourite elements from the boards I had liked and created my own with bits and pieces I had collected over time. I definitely went a bit overboard, but I am mostly happy with how it turned out, and more importantly, Josh likes it. What I ended up including on the board:. Ball tunnel (4-inch clear tubing, which was the hardest bit to find.check specialty vacuum shops for this stuff. with caps on either end). What I didn't con...

A space for all things tea. Steep it, Sip it, Blog it. April 5, 2015. April 6, 2015. There is a dangerous trend among tea drinkers. It seems to be taking over. What was once a daily ritual among the gentry of upper-class Britain, is now a jargon-filled, elitist pass-time for young people with time and cash to burn. Okay, so maybe things haven’t changed that much…. Here are my 3 recommendations to bloggers in the ‘tea space.’. 1 Make it accessible. 2 Make it entertaining. 3 Make it valuable. It’s no...
