November 14, 2011. Found while walking around Stambul. Ottoman Architecture behind the Hagia Sofia, important people lived here. In the Harem of Topkapi Palace, where sultans came to enjoy their concubines in style.the entire Harem was covered in these beautiful Izink tiles. In Cappadocia.many of the cave monasteries were converted to pigeon homes which had the added benefit of preserving wall murals. Traditional home in village of Goreme where we stayed. The far north of Albania had been off-limits for Peace Corps Volunteers until May of this year. So, needless to say, it had been somewhat of an interest and mystery to us PCVs.
