Celebrating a heritage of Armenian recipes. Confused by American measures? Thursday, April 2, 2009. Like so much about my maternal grandfather's life, exactly where and how that happened is a mystery. Many of these Armenians found themselves migrating again when the factories moved South in the 1920s, and Grandpa went along. So did my other grandfather, Harry Kalajian. I never met my gran...

Celebrating a heritage of Armenian recipes. Confused by American measures? Thursday, December 3, 2009. An Armenian Christmas Cookie Recipe. As I was flipping through the pages of an old Kalajian-family cookbook, a yellowed, slightly tattered piece of paper dropped to the floor. When I picked it up, I realized it was a newspaper clipping - obviously from an Armenian-American newspaper. Don’t know which one, or when it was printed. 2 cups sifted flour. 189; lb. butter or margarine. 190; cup sour cream.

THE ARMENTA FAMILY

Tuesday, August 25, 2009. I trust HIM, I really do. Ok, so I haven't blogged in a really. Long time. It's not necessarily a bad thing; we had a very fun-filled summer what with Ryan and Michelle in town from England and our trip to Newport Beach, CA. Speaking of which, I should blog about our beach trip; we have a lot of good pictures (maybe next time)! But, what brings me to blog today is an aching heart. In fact, it's difficult to hold back the tears as I'm typing, but here it goes. Have happened by now.
