Tuesday, June 2, 2015. How can it be? Love those dark eyes, curls, and sweet cheeks! A little bigger.but you are still my baby! How can you have finished elementary school? It seems like just yesterday I was walking you in to your first day of Kindergarten and holding back tears as I walked back down the hall to the car. I remember counting the minutes until you would come home and you could tell me all about your day! First Day of Kinder. Last Day of Elementary (5th Grade). I am so proud to be your Mom!

The Buie Blog: November 2014

http://thebuieblog.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 30, 2014. Just a couple for November. We had Disney night at Kids Life Groups one Sunday night. (Hudson was out of town hunting with Rob.) Lawson has outgrown all of her princess costumes.so we had to think outside the box! Mrs Potato Head from Toy Story! This might be my all time favorite costume for her! WE made it with felt on one of Rob's old t-shirts! I so wish Hudson hadn't been out of town.he would have made a great Mr. Potato head! I love our backyard in fall! While the boys were...

This little girl is rocking 5th grade! They had their 1st Semester Awards ceremony. She won three awards: A/B Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance and Citizenship Award. Way to go, Lawson! So proud of how hard you have worked and the way you carry yourself. Lawson and some of her good friends! Monday, January 5, 2015.

Saturday, December 27, 2014. Okhere goes a REALLY long post! Dec 23 - All was going great! Presents were purchased and wrapped. Lawson wanted to get a jump start on making cookies for Santa.rather than trying to squeeze that in on Christmas Day. Great idea, Lawson. She got this cute little cookie cutter and Santa Cookie plate from the Build a Bear store last year that she was dying to put to use! Live and learn sweet girl! Dec 24.Slight change of plans. The Buie Blog: April 2015

http://thebuieblog.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 30, 2015. Lawson's cheer team performed one last time in a parent only performance to end their season. They did a good job! They take a break now until June. Here is a new stunt Lawson's group learned right at the end of the year. They did not have time to incorporate it into their routine. Pretty impressive! I worked on our flower beds and added a few trees on one beautiful Saturday. Lawson was my lovely assistant and got to ride the "jungle" on the way home! Here is a trip down memory ...

http://therobcarmackexperiment.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

The Rob Carmack Experiment. Wednesday, April 21, 2010. I just received a great text message from my wife:. Riding in the car, Sawyer was throwing a fit. A Bruce [Springsteen] song came on, he quit and started smiling. No lie. This is a conspiracy.". Have you ever tried to get your daughter to watch your favorite movie from childhood? Let's not pretend like we don't all do this at some level or another. She replies: "The one about the hungry heart.". Bruce Sprinsteen wrote this song ("Hungry Heart") for T...

The Rob Carmack Experiment: September 2009

http://therobcarmackexperiment.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

The Rob Carmack Experiment. Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Back in June my wife told me she was pregnant. She didn't really "tell" me in the traditional sense. She told me to close my eyes and then proceeded to place two positive. Pregnancy tests in front of me as well as a book cleverly titled My Boys Can Swim. Again So, the smart money at this point would be to bet on the probability that I'm going to stock my library with books that feature subjects such as child psychology, parent/child relational dy...

The Rob Carmack Experiment. Thursday, December 17, 2009. I Don't Trust Teenagers Who Sell Stuff. I looked at Caroline and yelled, "ICE CREAM MAN! I dropped the box I had been carrying, and we both sprinted out into the street to meet the truck and purchase an ice cream sandwich. It was euphoric. Okay, so I was a sucker one time. That couldn't happen again, right? No thanks, neighbor kids. Take your snake oil elsewhere. I'm wise to your schemes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Blogs I Like to Read. This blog ...

The Rob Carmack Experiment: October 2009

http://therobcarmackexperiment.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

The Rob Carmack Experiment. Friday, October 30, 2009. Failure Journal Entry #1: Sports. It seems like the most natural place to begin in my journal of failure would be my earliest experience with it; namely, the arena of sports. During my eighth grade year, I was on the junior high basketball team. This was not an accomplishment. Our town and school were so small that there was no system for try-outs to be on a sports team. In fact, you were required (that's right, required. Despite my lack of athletic a...

The Bui Bugle

Friday, July 27, 2012. LOOK OUT BROWN MIDDLE SCHOOL! Wednesday, January 12, 2011. I figured it is probably about time I express my gratitude for the handsome young man in our family who made a very important decision over Christmas break. Sweet , Delightful, charismatic, Peyton, was Baptized last month. He patiently waited 3 month, so that he could be baptized in Canada where more family could attend. We love you buddy! The Buicks

A fun way to keep friends and family up to date! Friday, April 20, 2012. OK Now don't fall off your seat! This is what it looks like, a new post on my blog. It is quite ironic that the reason I started my blog in 2007 was because Matthew was leaving for Afghanistan and now he is there again so that is my motivation to get it up to speed again. I didn't feel right starting up with a big empty space so here is a recap of 2011 from May to December. Not much happened in this month. Canada Day of course, ...

Buicks R Us

Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Well, I was chatting it up with a buddy at work today. He loves to hear my stories. You could say I have a few. In particular, he loves to hear about my school days. Not college. Elementary. You see I was what they call a "trouble maker". I was a hyperactive, overly-imaginative kid. I loved to play and talk and run and do stuff, sitting in a desk was not my strong suit. Add to that my jumping around from school to school, I was a bit mis-understood. To stay inside the margins.

Thursday, May 21, 2015. Ok, Sorry for that. It has been raining here. A LOT. Like all the time, all day long. We did get a break yesterday and that was nice. But today here we are again. It did the trick. It's amazing how twinkle lights and an indoor fort can be so comforting. I felt like I was 4 years old again!
