The Canonfire Crier: Famous ales of Greyhawk II

http://www.thecanonfirecrier.blogspot.com/2014/06/famous-ales-of-greyhawk-ii.html

Monday, June 30, 2014. Famous ales of Greyhawk II. In keeping with my previous post on famous ales in Greyhawk. I have a few more ales I'd like to share with you. Perhaps famous brews or portables would make more sense for the title. I'll not change it though. Just know all types of alcoholic beverages will be addressed. Maybe, I'll revisit this again during Brewfest. For now let's see what other brews make our list. Keoland Blood Borne Brew. As the name implies this ale is made from milled ryes that are...

The Canonfire Crier: October 2014

http://www.thecanonfirecrier.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 16, 2014. Memorable Moments in Gaming. I was recently going through some old material and came across a character sheet for my first ever AD&D character. It was on an old piece of line ruled paper and we rolled up stats I got an 18 for strength and choose my class as Barbarian my race was Trollborn. I had a friend who house ruled everything back in first edition. He added several races that we could use for player characters. No racial adjustments for. She brandishes an axe which she ho...

The Canonfire Crier: Magical Attunement

http://www.thecanonfirecrier.blogspot.com/2014/05/magical-attunement.html

Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Magical attunement is a way for DM's to manage magical item use in their games. It allows a player to use an item and create a bond with the magical object. Magical potions and scrolls need never be attuned. However, staff, wands, rods, rings, weapons, and any other type of magical item needs to be attuned to a character. For more on this new rule from D&D next follow the link to the Wizards of the Coast website here: http:/ www.wizards.com/dnd/Article.aspx?

Heromeblog: December 2011

http://heromeblog.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Heromedel's Project and Game Blog. Friday, December 30, 2011. So far on my new Super Princess Project, I spent about four or more hours learning a new piece of software called Game Editor. I don't think it is going to work out. I love that its scripting is based on C, what I don't like is simple things like collision checking are a pain in the ass. Namely trying to get an object to not walk through the side of a block. By yoyo games. Back when it was interdependently owned it was the only thing I use...

Saturday, October 19, 2013. I decided that Calvin needed to be Calvin for at least one Halloween. So therefore I needed to find or make him a Hobbes. So naturally I crocheted him. I found a free pattern online, though I did make a few modifications (he needed whiskers and I added more white to his face. Something I should have done while creating the head but it was an afterthought.). Here is the pattern: Hobbes Crochet Pattern. Calvin has been carrying him around saying "I love it". Kids can't tell time!
