Tuesday, March 27, 2012. I want to have a record of these things for myself and this is really the quickest outlet for me to put it all down. And then she'll say, "Mom, next time maybe you should let us know when you're closing it. Someone could really get hurt! Why am I so nervous? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Four of my GREATEST gifts! Rejoicing Always. . .: August 2009

Thursday, August 27, 2009. First Day of School. I love being a follower of Christ. He makes life exciting. He leads me down paths I would NEVER choose on my own. One of these paths lately is the decision we have made to follow His leading to homeschool our kids this year. Hayley is in Kindergarten and Jack and Riley are pre-school. Mallory is in on the fun too. See pictures below. : ). I have people all the time say, "Oh, well it will be easy for you to homeschool- -you were a teacher! Riley letting Mall...

Tuesday, September 3, 2013. We've had a great summer, but it's high time we got some routine back in our lives! Daddy helped make special ABC pancakes last night, so breakfast was a breeze this morning just reheating precooked food. Why don't I do that more often? Traditional pic in front of the windows before school. She insisted on a funny face one too! She has the sweetest teacher, Mrs. Stockwell. We love her already! Ready for a great day! Friday, November 13, 2009. For our sweet Emma Star: The Story of Your Birth. October 30, 2009. Dear Little One,. But it sure didn't feel like any gas I'd ever experienced before. After 2 or 3 minutes of laying there wondering what was going on, you gave a big kick and I realized it was my water breaking! I called out for your dad and rushed to the bathroom and started shaking with excitement . the day was finally here! Visiting with Allison . But the question barely formed in my head before I was met wit...

http://kedra.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 29, 2009. Mason is 4 years old today! He is the sweetest little boy ever! I am so proud of him and just love him so much! He is still into his cars and trucks but more into his Wii, leapster and computer games now. Crazy how a 4 year old can be totally self-sufficient on the computer! He is playing soccer again this year with his 2 little friends and he is excited! He is also going to school 4 days a week! We are so blessed to have him! Can't believe it's been 4 years-. Life in your 30's.

Sweets' Surrender: June 2011

Monday, June 27, 2011. Grace in the Details! Sometimes in my life, trusting God with the big items is just quite a bit easier than trusting Him with the smaller details. Is this the control freak within me? Why do I , at times, fret and fret over the little things? Why can I so easily get frustrated with the Lord for His delay on working out the small issues? Really when I look back, no such thing exists! He does work things out! How foolish can I be? Nothing- if done my way- would work out well! After w...

Monday, February 28, 2011. What Do I Say? Cards, calls, texts, inbox messages! I stay incredibly blessed by you! So many family members and friends tell me they just don't know what to say to us! The feeling may be there that something said would be wrong, creating a fear to say anything at all. So, I want to tell you now that anything said to my family and me with love and encouragement is great and not taken as wrong on any level! Those times are full of kind looks and simple soft touches! I'm at a muc...

Sweets' Surrender: "Why?" Sounds like a good question.
http://sharonwashburn.blogspot.com/2011/09/why-sounds-like-good-question.html
Friday, September 30, 2011. Sounds like a good question. 1999 was the year my mother-in-law died and went to be with our Lord. She and my father-in-law suffered with long-term illnesses overlapping a 10 year period. She had lymphoma and died with such peace. Our extended family grieved and rejoiced at the same time because it was such a blessing she go be with the Lord instead of staying here with nothing more to offer her in this life. Isn't that a question we all ask God at various times in our lives?

Sweets' Surrender: March 2011

Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Much too much credit has been attributed to me lately regarding strength and courage. If there's any strength you see in me, it is from the Lord. If there is courage, it is God's gift. When He tells me His grace is sufficient, He means He will provide just what I need exactly when I need it. Today, I lean on Him hard! I trust His faithfulness to see that I receive both strength and courage, in His time and in His way! Here's what I need:. Ask God to provide me courage! There's ...
