Botany. birth. brainstorms. Larr; Dr. Ava. February 1, 2012. I’m glad my mom values family memories more than time spent cleaning a gallon of soapy water off her hard wood floors. This slideshow requires JavaScript. Our recipe of choice was: 1 gallon water 1 cup Joy dish soap 2 Tbs glycerin. Unfortunately, it wasn’t cold enough to get the bubble to freeze outside. My Wisconsin-centric brain was so giddy to spend Christmas Eve playing outside in 60 degree weather. I went barefoot as often as I could. This probably makes me the saddest, because last winter was hard. I hope the incoming winter won't be as difficult. Here are the highest of highlights from Summer 2014:. Moab Climbing with Xtine. Moab, UT. The worst half-marathon I have ever run. Herriman, UT. Quality time with the loveliest nephew. Grand Junction, CO. City of Rocks, ID.

I'm ready for the day to be over, but I'm not ready to go inside. The car is so quiet. It reminds me of being in the woods. Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Me levar para as montanhas! My heart aches sometimes. Most of the time it's for inexplicable reasons. It's a picture. It's a song. Its a sentence read in a book. Then it hits and it kills me. I can feel the heart muscle tighten and we all know that tight muscles ache. I wish there was someone I could go to to work this ache out. But then again, it usually dissipates before it becomes a problem. It makes me cry a baby bit. Oh, take me away. I want crisp. Air I want green.

Monday, July 22, 2013. We stopped several times to rest/refuel with snacks and water on the way up. We finally made it up to the top of the canyon. It was bursting with wild flowers, and I'm kicking myself for not taking more pictures of them. Neither of us really wanted to return the way we came. We knew that we could descend into Bells Canyon, and with a little persuasion from me we decided to wing it and head down that way. Note for the future: Always bring a good map with you if you plan on winging it.
