Colorado Critics: Marino's Pizzeria
http://www.coloradocritics.com/2014/03/marinos-pizzeria.html
I recently received an email from a reader. The reader explained that he's lived in Chicago and New York and loves both styles of pizza but after a recent trip to Italy he really appreciates a good authentic Italian pizza. As you may have noticed, there are not many authentic pizzerias here in Denver so I was excited to check this place out! He offered to make us a pizza he had just created! I could instantly see that the sauce was made with quality ingredients. The simplicity of the sauce, the sweet...

Colorado Critics: Del Taco
http://www.coloradocritics.com/2013/11/del-taco.html
Friday night Gary came home with all three of Del Taco's new Epic Burritos. I was hungry and kind of excited to see what these giant burritos had to offer. They look like what you would find at a Chipotle or Qudoba. The first flavor I tried was the Steak and Potato burrito. It includes carne asada steak, french fries, bacon pieces, chipotle sauce, cheese and sour cream. The steak has great flavor! We also gave their poppers a try. They were tasty! My two year old especially enjoyed these dipped in ranch.

Colorado Critics: Tommyknockers Brewery
http://www.coloradocritics.com/2014/07/tommyknockers-brewery.html
We had my little sister fly in from the Pacific North West recently. We decided to show her around Colorado a bit and ended up at this brewery up in Idaho Springs. We've been told Tommyknockers has some awesome home made soda and we were anxious to give it a try. We ordered one pitcher of their home made root beer. It was great! I am a sucker for home made and unique sodas. I wouldn't drive all the way up here just to try it, but if you're in the area you should certainly stop in and give it a try.

Colorado Critics: Tucanos Brazilian Grill
http://www.coloradocritics.com/2010/03/tucanos-brazilian-grill.html
Tucanos is unlike any other restaurant I have been to. First of all, it's a buffet. I generally stay away from buffets because I don't eat enough to make it worth it (still the case for Tucanos) and I prefer my food fresh from the kitchen. At any case, this place is astonishing. It's so juicy and sweet! If I could, I'd eat just that for dinner. If you’re a meat eater you will love all that Tucano's has to offer! Well actually, order any of their special drinks and you’re sure to fall in love! Simple temp...

Colorado Critics: Timberline Grill at Ameristar in Black Hawk, Co
http://www.coloradocritics.com/2015/05/timberline-grill-at-ameristar-in-black.html
Timberline Grill at Ameristar in Black Hawk, Co. The clang of slot machines, the flipping of cards, and the low drum of hundreds of people talking permeates the air as you enter the Ameristar Casino in Blackhawk. But there is relief, a little get away, a mountain lodge of serenity built as a beautiful timber frame lodge with slated wood walls. It offers a cozy fire place to absorb warmth by and there is excellent food to enjoy. It is the Timberline Grill. Holodets. I found it intriguing. It was o...With ...

Colorado Critics: Movie Tavern
http://www.coloradocritics.com/2010/05/movie-tavern.html
Our friends recommended that we check this place out. I was highly skeptical. Who can show movies and serve good quality food? I'm here to tell you that this place does just that! I savored each bite trying to soak up all the flavors the best I could. The sweet yet spicy, soft yet crunch made it onto my top ten favorite meals of restaurant history. The fries were wonderful too! I am no longer a skeptic. This system is great! I will certainly be back for dinner and a movie at this place! To help pay for o...

The Mozart Lounge
http://denverdives.blogspot.com/2011/07/mozart-lounge.html
Ahhh, Mozart. Is there a more well known classical composer in the world than Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart? You might be saying. 'How dare you compare a legend in music, a titan amongst composers, to. Fear not, good readers, for although the towering grandeur of Europe's concert halls, the wig-clad crowds of nobility, and the majesty of Mozart's magical hymns seem to be 250 years and unlimited amounts of class away from a shady lounge sitting just off Colfax and populated by local yokels,. Wolf's Motor Inn
http://denverdives.blogspot.com/2010/02/wolfs-motor-inn.html
I've driven past this little cafe before that we can hit,' I told Matt, cranking a U-turn to head east on Colfax. We were in Aurora, returning from a night out and looking for a quick bite. After a couple blocks, to the point where we were in danger of getting out in the sticks, the sign for Wolf's. Some folks might be deterred by a homemade sign posted to the front door stating 'NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED! And the fact that it clearly specified weapons of any kind made me picture someone trying to g...

Little Panda Chinese Food
http://denverdives.blogspot.com/2010/04/little-panda-chinese-food.html
Little Panda Chinese Food. The restaurant itself has a lot of character, mainly because it has no character. The most defining characteristic is the $1 scoop sign outside featuring the namesake little panda looking happy enough despite being exploited in the name of a greasy restaurant with lousy food. A coat of paint would help out on the outside, but would do nothing to draw attention away from. Absolutely nothing, other than the fact that this is some cheap shit. Scabbed together by the Luke Naughton.

And purveyors of all things green and leafy. And a juxtaposition of a street is a perfect spot for a place like the Lion's Lair. I fought the urge to ask for my cover charge back and ordered a beverage. Every Girl's Dream: A Keytar Devo Doll. Ranged from one sultry looking porn kitty to the ferocious version that adorned the hard rockin t-shirt that I scored for $10. And the bartender's attempt at getting me to take my shirt off in order to try on the house t-shirt ('What? June 28, 2013 at 11:01 AM.
