September 17, 2011. Well, we've done it! There he was forced to sleep on the ground and hike all day. Anyway, Dad invited the family to spend the weekend in Moab (one of his favorite places). Enoch couldn't go because of school, so Amber was my "plus one." It was also her first time being at Arches National Park and Moab, so all-in-all we hit a couple more milestones than the average camping trip! And now what you've all been waiting for: PICTURES! I'm ready for my closeup! Tunnel Arch in Devil's Garden.

August 31, 2011. Live Feed from the Butterfly Pavilion! Okay, not really "live" in the sense that it's happening right now, although how do you know it's not. I promised to upload some video from our trip to the Butterfly Pavilion in CO, but I can only upload one video per post, so expect to see more sprinkled about when I can't think of anything to write about, er um, when old video of butterflies is more interesting than our daily lives, er I mean. oh just enjoy the pretty colors! April 28, 2011. I am constantly taken aback by how quickly Isaac has grown! He looks like this now but, believe it or not,. He used to look like this! Can you believe how small he was? I realized recently that I never really shared pictured from when Isaac was a newborn, and what better way to do that than our familee blog? This one was taken right before the last pic, as soon as we left the OR. Isaac used to be. Last day in the hospital, time to go home! We had a lot of visitors over the first few weeks...

I Can See Myself From Here. Friday, May 22, 2009. We were fortunate enough to stay in the Hilton Millenium in Bangkok for the last couple of nights in Thailand and it was so nice! The beds were so comfy and the room was awesome. The pics here are the view from our window out over the city at night. We did some last minute shopping, and I went to the Thai Red Cross again to get another shot in the HPV series- I still can't believe how inexpensive it is here. On to the next adventure. Eleven weeks in Southeast Asia and here are some wrap up thoughts and tallies:. 1 One elephant ridden, bathed, and attempted to command. 2 Bargaining techniques worked on and are much improved. 3 One battle with Dengue Fever, one stomach virus, and a bazillion mosquito bites- survived. 4 Finished 20% under my original budget- yeah! 6 2 cooking classes, 1 massage course, and 1 weaving lesson taken. 7 1 river kayaked.

Saturday, February 22, 2014. I have been playing with pearls this week. The old fashioned cold Winter we are having with more than its fair share of ice and snow has provided inspiration. Pearls are timeless. But that doesn't mean they have to be worn in single strands with sweater sets pencil skirts. They pair really well with rhinestones especially rhinestones of the vintage variety. The single strand necklace uses antiqued brass beads to contrast with the gleaming pearls for a darkly romantic look.
