The Labor of Love

Saturday, August 20, 2011. Gavin turned 3 years old on Cinco De Mayo. We invited his friend, Pierce, over with his family to celebrate. Gavin wanted a Mario cake with no frosting, but I didn't think that would be very fun. So, I made a cupcake cake which allowed me to decorate with frosting and then scrape it off of Gavin's "piece.". Wearing the traditional sombrero during the Happy Birthday song. Blowing out the candles. What a cute 3-year-old! Pierce really enjoyed the cake. Monday, August 15, 2011.

The Labor of Love: March 2011

http://thelaboroflove.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Grandpa Mullins bought us tickets to see Yo Gabba Gabba! In Richmond. So, Gavin and I took a special trip to Virginia for this totally awesome event! At first, Gavin didn't know exactly what was going on, but he was happy to be there. This was outside the theater. Waiting for the show to start. We all got DJ Lance glasses as we walked in. I love Yo Gabba Gabba! Leslie and the LYs. Party in my Tummy! Friday, March 25, 2011. Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Thursday, March 17, 2011.

The Labor of Love: April 2010

http://thelaboroflove.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Friday, April 30, 2010. After Christmas, Ben decided that he was only having phone interviews, which can be done from anywhere. So, he moved to Arizona the end of January so we could be together as a family again! After moving to AZ, job prospects starting opening up more. Ben and I went to rainy Los Angeles, CA for an interview. The interview went well and he ended up getting offered the job, but we didn't feel good about moving to LA. We went to Utah a week later for two interviews in Salt Lake. We are...

The Labor of Love: Findlay Market

http://thelaboroflove.blogspot.com/2011/05/findlay-market.html

Monday, May 23, 2011. We checked out our local farmer's market one Saturday morning. We tried some awesome Belgium waffles. Then we listened to some music. Gavin got to sit in a real fire truck- definitely a highlight for him. And he was the last kid they let on before they drove away. These pigs are all over the Cincinnati area- painted in different themes and colors depending on the area in which they are found. Gavin got tired of walking around the market until we bought him a giant cookie!

The Labor of Love: An Hour Long Elevator Ride...

http://thelaboroflove.blogspot.com/2011/07/hour-long-elevator-ride.html

Wednesday, July 27, 2011. An Hour Long Elevator Ride. Gavin stayed pretty happy the whole time- especially while I had the camera out. I was wearing my swimsuit and cover up, since we were headed to playgroup at the splash park. I pulled my gym clothes on over my swimsuit while we waited to be rescued so that I wouldn't be totally embarrassed when the door did finally open. And thank goodness I had snacks. And what are the odds of that happening? July 27, 2011 at 5:00 PM. Nathan, Joy, Oliver and Violet.

Ish-kittle-ee-um-dog: Take...

http://ishkittleeumdog.blogspot.com/2008/08/take.html

Simple minds have simple pleasures. And simple pleasures are what makes life great. Thursday, August 28, 2008. One zuchinni from garden and put it in a gallon freezer bag. Take one crookneck squash from garden and tuck it into bag snugly with zuchinni. Throw in a couple of ripe, juicy, garden tomatoes. Add a small bag of freshly cut basil and rosemary. Seal and deliver with love. August Visting Teaching is done. I know, kind of a cop-out, but the secret ingredient that tied it all together was love.

CLICK HERE FOR THOUSANDS OF FREE BLOGGER TEMPLATES. Monday, May 5, 2008. We went to the Nature Park in Rexburg yesterday. There were so many people there feeding the ducks that they didn't even want to eat our crackers. Those poor ducks are probably feeling rather sick today. We got some fun pictures though. Check out the album. Sunday, May 4, 2008. On Sunday the weather was the nicest it has been since last summer so we decided to go to the park. I couldn't believe all the people that were there&#46...

Anderson Adventures: I just can't Let It Go anymore

http://teamevrah.blogspot.com/2014/03/i-just-cant-let-it-go-anymore.html

I just can't Let It Go anymore. I consider myself a fairly intelligent person. I mean, sure, I let my fourth graders say 14-9 = 3 the other day and didn't realize I was wrong until that afternoon when another student looked at me incredulously and counted it out on his fingers for me. But other than that, I consider myself fairly intelligent. So when I started seeing arguments fill my newsfeed about the hidden agendas of Frozen. One of the many arguments found here. How had I missed it? This song is Elsa...

Ish-kittle-ee-um-dog: A Bit Sleep Deprived

http://ishkittleeumdog.blogspot.com/2008/09/bit-sleep-deprived.html

Simple minds have simple pleasures. And simple pleasures are what makes life great. Wednesday, September 10, 2008. A Bit Sleep Deprived. Between my several nightly trips to the bathroom, constant adjusting all night, waking up to blow my nose because I can't breathe and moments of extreme thirst that I have. To quench (although they will no doubt lead to another trip to the bathroom), I'm feeling a bit sleep deprived. At Wednesday, September 10, 2008. September 10, 2008. September 10, 2008.

Guffawing Away: December 2009

http://guffawingaway.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

I'm guffawing away on the steam boat of hilarity. Sunday, December 13, 2009. You can't TiVo this, honey. Now that I survived the first semester of the Paramedic program, I'm finally posting a few highlights other than the late night photos I took after a shift was over. But yeah, I most definitely got a 3.7 gpa this past semester. Holla. So here are some pictures of the past. This is obviously Risi and I. This was when we celebrated her birthday at Ben and Ashlee's in SLC. Aren't we so cute? We have to p...

Anderson Adventures: November 2012

http://teamevrah.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

For Thanksgiving this year, everyone traveled to us! I don't know why we decided to do that, we have a two bedroom apartment, but it all worked out wonderfully and we had a great time! Since I am already 3 months late. let me do a picture walk with you. Thursday was Thanksgiving and it was delicious! Friday we went to Petit Jean. And hiked down to the waterfall. It was brisk, but a great hike. Then we walked around to get behind the waterfall. That's what the spray is there on the right. It's sideways an...

By small and simple things...: Spring is upon us!

http://joyglaus.blogspot.com/2011/03/spring-is-upon-us.html

Saturday, March 5, 2011. Spring is upon us! I guess a lot has changed since the last post. Oh how time flies! And like I ever have more than 5 seconds to sit in front of my computer these days. It's funny how when I would most like to document the wonderful events in my life I have the least time to do so. So here are some highlights from the last several months: Halloween happened, Thanksgiving happened, Oliver's birthday happened (he's 3 now! And Christmas happened. Exciting isn't it? Andy and Ann Glaus.

Anderson Adventures: And the dreams start

http://teamevrah.blogspot.com/2014/06/and-dreams-start.html

And the dreams start. I don't usually remember my dreams, but recently they have become more frequent. We never ended up going on the hike, and instead met my brother's back at the house. I don't know how we got there. While there, I tried to figure out how I was going to set up the nursery. I guess I was living with my mom again. I figured out eventually there just wasn't enough room and decided to ask my dad to use his house. One room for Evan and I, and one for the baby. It could work. 2012 helped us ...
