Walking Matilda: March 2011
http://walkingmatilda.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
A journey in full-time parenting, frugal living and learning. Thursday, 31 March 2011. I made a sling! Then someone from the village gave us their old Baby Jogger 3-wheel pushchair, which Matilda loves and to be honest it's a joy to push up on the hills (although I don't think I'd dare take it on the bus or to the shops - it's huge! I used the dimensions from this tutorial. I took it out for a test drive yesterday and I was really pleased with it! Monday, 28 March 2011. Picture updates will follow. Last ...

Walking Matilda: May 2011
http://walkingmatilda.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
A journey in full-time parenting, frugal living and learning. Wednesday, 4 May 2011. I sold some crafty things! I'll definitely be making some more of those. Just need to hit the charity shops for more plates - as the car boot sale on Monday was useless. Luckily we have a charity shop in Malvern entirely devoted to crockery. I also sold a felted soap - I forgot the sign I had made to explain what they are so I'm not really surprised more of them didn't sell. I sold two cake stands like this one.

Walking Matilda: January 2011
http://walkingmatilda.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
A journey in full-time parenting, frugal living and learning. Friday, 21 January 2011. Memories of Oxwich Bay. Last summer we spent a lovely week camping in the Gower. Thursday, 13 January 2011. Felt art - first attempt. Well, I'm not sure if you could call it 'art' yet! Armed with my new book 'Beginner's Guide to Feltmaking' (by Shirley Ascher and Jane Bateman), I have attempted my first felt picture - it's a bluebell wood, in case you can't tell! Design laid out, ready to felt. Close-ups of the felt.

Walking Matilda: July 2011
http://walkingmatilda.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
A journey in full-time parenting, frugal living and learning. Friday, 15 July 2011. Sling for a doll. Happy Birthday Matilda - you are so loved! I made this bunting for a 1st birthday present. I cut the letters out of a linen curtain someone had given me and appliqued them on. Each flag had a triangle of patterned fabric backed with a triangle of linen, both cut with the pinking shears, to give a nice soft feel. I also did a matching card. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Walking Matilda: August 2011
http://walkingmatilda.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
A journey in full-time parenting, frugal living and learning. Monday, 29 August 2011. My Dad shows Matt how to make beetroot wine. Matt poses for a photo with Matilda, baby and I. It should be broadcast on 4 September, 8pm on BBC2. Hopefully you'll see my parents' winemaking in action! Running around in the wind on the top. Playing in the 'sand'. We had such fun, and to top it off we found a good supply of blackberries when we got back down to the bottom. A perfect morning! Thursday, 11 August 2011.

Walking Matilda: December 2010
http://walkingmatilda.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
A journey in full-time parenting, frugal living and learning. Wednesday, 8 December 2010. It's been so cold the last week or two we haven't been able to get out walking much. So last night I made a babywearing jumper in a bid to keep Matilda warm on our walk today with our local mums walking group. I bought a size 18 jumper from a charity shop, cut a hole in the back and sewed in the neck bit from a child's fleece. Hey presto, one babywearing jumper! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Walking Matilda: 'I love you Mummy'
http://walkingmatilda.blogspot.com/2011/08/i-love-you-mummy.html
A journey in full-time parenting, frugal living and learning. Thursday, 11 August 2011. I love you Mummy'. One day this week while we were eating lunch, Matilda said (unprompted), 'I love you Mummy. And Daddy.'. At bedtime she pulls Sam's head towards hers for her goodnight kiss and then asks him to 'kiss those feet' and waves her feet in the air, followed by toes, hands, fingers and thumbs. She likes to fall asleep with her arms around Bear and my arms around her. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Walking Matilda: February 2011
http://walkingmatilda.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
A journey in full-time parenting, frugal living and learning. Monday, 28 February 2011. This is the recipe I use for plain, fruit or cheese scones. I'm not sure where it originates but it was given to me by a friend. They're simple to make and you can whip up a batch in no time! I've made the cheese version many many times! Cheese (2 big handfuls of grated cheddar or red leicester). Or Fruit (eg 2 handfuls of sultanas). 8oz self raising flour. 1 heaped tsp baking powder. Friday, 25 February 2011. Served ...
