Whim: Matilda's First Camping Trip
http://sangsterrific.blogspot.com/2008/06/matildas-first-camping-trip.html
A man should learn to detect and watch that gleam of light which flashes across his mind from within, more than the lustre of the firmament of bards and sages. [.] Else to-morrow a stranger will say with masterly good sense precisely what we have thought and felt all the time, and we shall be forced to take with shame our own opinion from another. - Ralph Waldo Emerson. Sunday, June 1. Matilda's First Camping Trip. This is MY log! Relaxing with Auntie Hannah. Enjoying the view.of dirt. B and the Boy.

BEAN'S TALK: June 2007
http://lucinebean.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
The daring adventures of the lima bean who became Lucine . . . or LuLu Bean, or Sweet Bean, or Stinky Bean, or Moonbeam. As narrated by her mother, The Giant. With thanks to Tracy, who took these pictures. Links to this post. And this year, I'm totally caught up in it. I've been looking forward to it for days. I keep thinking about cycles, wondering where this particular curvature of our lives is going to take us. Jobs here, or abroad? Which of us will work and which will take care of the Bean? So, G, th...

BEAN'S TALK: May 2007

The daring adventures of the lima bean who became Lucine . . . or LuLu Bean, or Sweet Bean, or Stinky Bean, or Moonbeam. As narrated by her mother, The Giant. As Luci gets older I begin to think a lot about her education; what kind of values I want to teach her, how I will explain or talk to her about difficult issues like violence on TV and in life, or sex. Http:/ www.mamaroots.com/my weblog/2009/04/on-the-bench-1.html]. Here's the sweet poem that accompanied our basket:. Once there was a woodland elf. Who said to himself. It's the 1st day of May.

Friday, September 26, 2008. I couldn't figure out why my chamomile was blooming and then dropping it's petals so quickly. Today I found out why. It's a tiny little caterpillar that has adapted itself to look like a flower or maybe it covers itself in chamomile petals to camouflage itself or to store them for later. Either way, it's hard to be mad at such a smart little thing! The last pic shows it on the yellow part of the flower (I'm sure there's a fancy name for it but it's escaping me right now).
