The Muddle in the Middle

The Muddle in the Middle. Friday, July 12, 2013. From June of 1990 until December of 1991, I served an LDS mission in southern France (similar geographical location to where Jacob will be). That was 23 years ago. I remember a lot of things I loved about France. I could go on and on. But my biggest memory of missionary work in France. Is full of her cute personality. The Muddle in the Middle: Life is IN the interruptions, part 2

http://themuddleinthemiddle.blogspot.com/2011/11/life-is-in-interruptions-part-2.html

The Muddle in the Middle. Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Life is IN the interruptions, part 2. This is a P.S. to the post that comes just before this. So I asked Jacob if he understood what "Life is IN the interruptions" means. He said, "Life is in the interruptions because the interruptions are fun. Without interruptions, all you would do is work.". That really made me laugh. It highlights the difference between a teenage boy, who wants to do anything but. December 2, 2011 at 3:03 PM. Edith F. The Muddle in the Middle: February 2011

http://themuddleinthemiddle.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

The Muddle in the Middle. Sunday, February 20, 2011. How do I Serve? In Relief Society today, we had a lesson on Service (probably like most people around the world.) The teacher put four categories of different kinds of service on the board, and then we made lists of ways that we can serve under each category. The categories were economical, social, physical and spiritual. It created a very inspiring discussion to think of so many different ways to serve. Then, whether you give birth to the children or ...

The Muddle in the Middle: March 2011

http://themuddleinthemiddle.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

The Muddle in the Middle. Monday, March 28, 2011. So this has been pretty humbling. The first day I attempted to praise my children, I only moved one penny. From one pocket to the other. Okay, so I shouldn't have started on a busy Saturday with a full day of cleaning ahead of us. But still. I really have to get better at verbalizing the positive things I notice about my children. I am thinking it is like any skill. It will improve with time. I did better than Rich. He didn't move any. I love this ideas b...

The Muddle in the Middle: April 2011

http://themuddleinthemiddle.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

The Muddle in the Middle. Monday, April 18, 2011. I had new thought this week on a scripture that I have read many times. 2 Nephi 25:26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins. I think it's interesting that Nephi doesn't say that they preach of Christ so that their children will turn out perfectly, or have perfect testimonies.

Pettingill Pages: October 2014

http://pettingillpages.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 3, 2014. I have a tradition of sending photos to the Pettingill/Barnard family members and our grandchildren for their birthdays. Even from a foreign country I can send 4x6 photos inexpensively through the internet. My "scrapbook pages" are smaller than most. This has been a fun way to share some of our experiences. Since I posted the Galapagos pictures, I thought Zamora should be showcased as well:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Some of our favorite blogs. Dad's view of Gracie Mordue.

We will leave on Friday and stay in Guayaquil at the temple apartments until we fly your direction on the 12th of March. We expect to be in Idaho late that night. Grandpa found some seedless grapes. These were imported and expensive but they were a delicious treat. This family is selling their homemade cheese:.

Sunday, January 23, 2011. January Snow Trip and First Scripture Reward. Isn't the view fantastic? It was worth the long drive! Jeffrey, Anna and I spent the day together. The snow was too deep for them to walk comfortably, so after we hiked around for a while and then had lunch, we settled in the parking lot to play. Before lunch, we used shovels to dig out a tunnel and some snow caves. Beth, our Josh, and Josh Hodson digging out the snow tunnel. Savanah, Ashely, Katie and Kendall- 3rd Ward Laurels.

Our Family: July 2010

Sunday, July 18, 2010. July brings the last of the summer birthdays. Adam turned 9 and is no longer in Dad's wolf pack for Cub Scouts. We had to celebrate his birthday the night before because we spent most of the day driving to Rich's family reunion. Driving to Utah, Jeffrey and Anna were absorped in the travel booklets Grandma Jeri made. It was our easiest long distance drive ever. Life with a nearly three-year old girl is pretty nice! They all have water babies in the pool! The reunion took place near...

http://pettingillfamily-eightisgreat.blogspot.com/2011/08/summer-2011-trip-to-utah-for-4th-of.html

Sunday, August 7, 2011. Summer 2011- Trip to Utah for the 4th of July, part 1. Summer has flown by. I have a bunch of pictures to post from all the fun we have had. The summer started off with a bang for Daniel's 15th birthday. Then we had girls' camp, Cub Scout Camp, and Boys Scout Camp for three weeks of June. The sun never came out much until the second half of June, and we wondered what was happening to our summer! The kids spent time indoors together doing things like making popsicle stick houses.

The Martins wanted to take several local couples out for lunch at the Granchef buffet to thank them for their help and friendship during their mission. They also invited several senior missionary couples to accompany them. We enjoyed a wonderful meal and an even better time all together as friends. You can see Tim Martin standing above. Sunday, February 27, 2011. Final fun of President's Week. We had a great week for our vacation. Besides the snow and painting, we watched Megamind and The Sorcerer's Apprentice, the older kids went to several parties, we had too much ice cream, and I personally ate out at least once each day. Wow! Now that's a vacation! We also had the Pinewood Derby for Adam and celebrated my grandma's 99th birthday- the same night. Here are some pictures. Wednesday, February 23, 2011.
