Wednesday, September 22, 2010. We did a Safari themed 2nd birthday for Colin. We had a bounce house and lots of little friends to help us celebrate. It was a great day! Mommy went a little overboard with the decorations but that's what Mommy likes to do. It is hard to capture the look down the hall but it was supposed to give the feel of walking through a jungle. Saturday, June 12, 2010. We did a mini session with Laura at Watermelon Photography. Honestly, I don't know why I thought a 20 minute session was a good idea. With Colin, we needed a four hour session so she could follow him around and snap shots so he didn't get "upset" when we tried to "place him" (i.e. make him do something he didn't want to do.). The Slade Story: Dallas Zoo

Wednesday, September 22, 2010. We had heard bad things about the Dallas Zoo but decided to go anyway. We are very glad we did, it was great! We had perfect weather for it too! Alas, again, we were unprepared for the water feature in the kid's play area and so we went home with 2 wet boys.again. But at least this time it was only 2 instead of 3! Apparently, the elephants smell was not so sweet. Couldn't resist that one either. I swear, one day we will learn to pack swimsuits and towels. I'm a Scentsy Girl.
