The House of Blue and a Splash of Pink! Monday, August 23, 2010. Family Fun at the Railroad Festival. Last Saturday we ventured out as a family to the Railroad Festival at the Great Overland Station. Bob has taken the boys there before, but for Ella and I, it was our first visit. They had a lot of activities for the kids, but we mainly participated in the indoor activities, due to the heat! Bob wanted a picture of the boys in front of this statue so badly, but as you can see, it didn't exactly go well!

In my defense, I do want to say that I have been extremely busy. I have now set a goal for myself that I will get you all up to date with what has gone on in our lives over the past 2 1/2 months! The House of Blue and a Splash of Pink! Thursday, May 13, 2010. Maddox had his Kindergarten Spring program last Friday. They are all supposed to dress up in the occupation that they would like to be whenever they grow up. They all then get a chance to introduce themselves and explain what they would like to be. Monday, November 10, 2008. Well, I got called to go back to the dr. a little earlier than expected. My first appt. was on a Friday and the next Wed. I had a voicemail on my phone at school AND my cell. The msg. was from the dr. saying it wasn't an emergency, but to call and ask for HER asap. WHAT? Are you kidding me? It's not an emergency.but call HER asap. Great. I have some sort of foreign disease. I'm dying of cancer. I have 6 months to live. Brett lied and gave me something! How did this never happen?

Wednesday, April 15, 2009. No, I'm not talking about the movie. I've been in a funk lately. My dad had a dr.'s appt. because he was getting really sick. Long story short.they admitted him to the hospital and he was treated for pneumonia. Well, as many of you know, he has smoked for over 35 years (and DOES NOT go to the dr.). The pneumonia was a blessing in disguise. How could he do this to his family? I'm just trying to be as supportive and positive as I can. Sometimes I wish I was more like my mom!

Friday, February 20, 2009. I just wanna SLEEP (a little vent)! OK, it's Friday. Last night I was at school until 7 b/c we were "expected" to be at the Board of Education meeting. Check. We recently wrapped up Parent/Teacher Conferences where we had to put in two (nearly) 13 hour days. Check. I'm at work until at least 5 every night (not 3:30 like most people think). Check. The anticipation has been building all year and the day finally came! Almost every student on the trip has a parent (or two) go with them.
