solar oven chef: Blown Away by the Solar Cook Off in Bisbee
http://solarovenchef.blogspot.com/2010/06/blown-away-by-solar-cook-off-in-bisbee.html
I cooked with my solar oven every sunny day for one year, and still continue to use it. Solar cooking is easy, fun and economical, it also makes some very tasty food! It is a wonderful addition to any kitchen. Feel free to browse around, and use the labels to search for the different types of food cooked. Sunday, June 13, 2010. Blown Away by the Solar Cook Off in Bisbee. In the evening we watched the Bisbee Copper Kings play the Tucson Yard Dogs at Warren Ballpark. The oldest ballpark in the U.S. I got u...

Canned Ham Dreams: June 2014
http://cannedhamdreams.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 2, 2014. You know I'm always on the lookout for old trailers. Unfortunately, I seem to be driving when I see a lot of them, and am unable to take a photo. We did see this nice Shasta, a 1962 if I got it right (I'd had some wine). We were sitting in our campsite minding our business, when all of a sudden it came toddling by - with help of course! Later I found where it had landed, and managed to snag a shot. It sure looks cute tucked away in the woods! Sequim Bay State Park. Up, Up and Away!

Monthly Archives: April 2013. April 30, 2013. Tiki Bus at the Shady Dell. For our 14th anniversary we stayed in the Tiki Bus at The Shady Dell. In Bisbee, AZ. Other trailers at The Shady Dell. In Bisbee we walked around, looked in shops and ate at the Roka Cafe. A lot of the buildings in Bisbee are built into the side of the mountain. There are stairs everywhere. Awkward pictures of us trying to get a non awkward picture of us. A copper mine hole! April 30, 2013. Picacho Peak State Park. Bells in the cave.

A Trailer Full of Tunes: Down South
http://trailerfulloftunes.blogspot.com/2014/09/down-south.html
Thursday, September 04, 2014. Since the best route for me to get to Forest Hill was via Whitechapel, I timed it so that I could stop in the Whitechapel Gallery. For a bit before catching my overground train. The gallery displays primarily contemporary art, often a bit edgy and incomprehensible. The major exhibition at the moment is Giulio Paolini: To Be or Not to Be. That were inspired by the ones at Crystal Palace Park (more on that later). Our next stop was West Norwood Cemetery. A little pond with lif...

A Trailer Full of Tunes: April 2012
http://trailerfulloftunes.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 28, 2012. It wasn't a three-hour cruise, and we weren't marooned, but JJ and I were definitely the only humans on the (charted) desert isle. Carrot Island is one of several small islands off Beaufort that make up the Rachel Carson Reserve. Rachel Carson spent time in Beaufort in the 1940s, and did studies on the islands.) We actually spent our time in the part of the Reserve called the Town Marsh. In a larger map. I had a great time during my four-day stay in North Carolina. I saw fin...

Canned Ham Dreams: Mysterious and elusive...
http://cannedhamdreams.blogspot.com/2014/01/mysterious-and-elusive.html
Sunday, January 26, 2014. Not far from where I live, there is a person that collects trailers. He stores them at an old drive-in theater, and they are highly visible to passersby. I've never stopped to look, but NoJuan. On Flickr stole a picture of the entrance to the drive-in. And here are the trailers! I found this older picture I took a couple of years ago. Where did all the little trailers go? Hopefully to good and loving homes. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Destinations - Vintage Trailer Motels.
