This blog is an attempt to remember what Jehovah Jireh has provided for my family and to leave that legacy to my children! Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Ummm, Part 3? What was most sad about our trip was not being able to see everyone who has been crucial to Jeremiah's growth. One missionary family returned the day before we left. Their kids were so sweet and also very affected by our children (their playmates) leaving. Thus another dimension that I had not anticipated. It broke my heart. Or, how could I for...

What My Dad Saw: February 2013

http://whatmydadsaw.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Feb 7, 2013. This is our living room on a typical night in the 1980's. I am on the couch to the left. Looks like I am diligently reading the paper like a young adult but I am sure I am just reading the comics section. I didn't even like most of the comics but I always read them just in case they might grow on me. Alley Oop almost did once but it didn't take. Garfield did. Dad is in the white T-shirt looking cool. Maybe Brett and I were grounded and had to stay in with Dad? Don't blow your engine though!

The musical, students, work, plans, blah, blah blah. (I'll save you from the whiny crap) So I woke up today thinking "WAIT A MINUTE! I know my God was big enough to handle the high school musical last year! I also know the bible says God is and always will be and has never changed! What My Dad Saw: April 2012

http://whatmydadsaw.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Apr 30, 2012. Uncle Joe and Aunt Betty: Auction. This weekend was the first of three estate auctions for my Aunt and Uncle. They had a really good turn out! You can spot my cousin in the middle as he watches the bidding begin. My wife and daughter Megan went with me as well as my Mother in law. Megan help me document the day. Megan was also proud to go to her first auction and get a number. Megan spotted some recipes boxes early on. Sadly she was out bid on these. These were some hooks made from sticks.

Jul 13, 2011. August 1976 and we are having a pool party. Can't see a single face in the picture though. Cousin Doug has his back to us. I think Chad is sitting on the side to the left. What My Dad Saw: Our House 1989

http://whatmydadsaw.blogspot.com/2013/03/our-house-1989.html

Mar 12, 2013. The yard looks nothing like this today. I can remember planting all these trees as saplings. As we would dig the holes and water the little trees Dad would try to get us to imagine our kids playing in a forest of a front yard. I would try to imagine it and I can remember being a little jealous because they would enjoy climbing in trees that I could, would a did run over with the lawn mower. Now all but one of my kids are married and I did enjoy my kids playing in these trees. Me and Mom 1979.

What My Dad Saw: August 2011

http://whatmydadsaw.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Aug 31, 2011. In 1979 Indian Creek hosted a donkey basketball night. That is my Mom, Emmalea, in the picture above. I remember the posters in the school that advertised the event the donkey's name my Mom was supposed to ride that night was Rigamortis. The donkeys were trained to run and stop all of a sudden. Then the donkey would lower it's head and make a slide for the rider to exit the donkey's back. Pretty fun night for those of us watching. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Links to this post. The Story of Us. Sunday, May 1, 2011. Friday, April 29, 2011. Thursday, April 28, 2011. It's Official.sort of.again. We had our appointment at the US Consulate today. So no pictures. No cameras are allowed in. No electronic devices of any sort. I learned, much to the annoyance of those in the group behind me, that I had several squirreled away in my backpack that I had forgotten about. Good thing they just put them in a bin and gave me a check number to retrieve them after we finished. After arriving her...
