Wednesday, 25 April 2012. Some creatively displayed work on show. My submissions, displayed in amongst some lovely fruit and veg boxes. The '48 Sheet' Project space, within the Mailbox, Birmingham. A selection of customised and beautifully adorned bicycles. Last night we went along to Papergirl Night at 48 Sheet in the Mailbox. The work was creatively curated in areas throughout the space alongside customised bicycles, projections and small hands-on-project areas [including a spirograph workbench!

Thursday, 20 September 2012. New life in Stirchley. Sorry for my absence recently, we've been very busy moving house and doing all the important things like painting the kitchen green and shed purple! We'd collected so much furniture and bits and bobs between our various houses that by the time we'd got it all in the new house it was filled with things and felt like home pretty quickly. I can't quite believe we actually own it, I still find myself walking from room to room feeling proud of it!

Monday, 24 September 2012. We've spent the weekend decorating our bedroom in Laura Ashley's Martha Hollyhock. Wallpaper and a lovely shade of blue called 'favourite china'. I absolutely love the wallpaper, In my mind it seems to sit neatly somewhere between a 1950s illustrative print and a Del Boy style. Here's a little close up of the paper next to the first wall to be painted. Our room is still in need of a door handle so you have to claw your way out of the room. Only Fools and Horses.

Sunday, 21 August 2011. This morning we got up nice and early and went to sell some clutter at Studley Car Boot. The sun was shining and it brought out the buyers as well as the booters! I allowed myself a little wander about and only spent £1.50 in total on a lovely little wind-up gold watch for 50p [which amazingly keeps perfect time! Thursday, 18 August 2011. Sunday, 8 January 2012. I found this lovely old tin in the garage - Dad said I could keep it as he didn't even know he owned it! It's a bit battered and worn, but you can mostly still read the branding and the lid still fits on. I decided to do a little ad hock drawing of it. I quite like it actually, so I might do an embroidery. What I didn't realise is t hat Typhoo is a Birmingham brand, and that it was initially used medicinally. The Typhoo website says:. Thursday, 23 June 2011. Another fruitful day of charity shopping on Tuesday. I had to go to Trowbridge to meet with Sarah Kenyon from Trowbridge Museum. To discuss the August Festival and my window display in Fabric Magic. I took full advantage of the charity shops while I was there, and found this brilliant black and Gold jacket. Saturday, 30 July 2011. Bellows and Sunshine Bargains. Today we took a little trip to Tudor Grange Park. Our lovely friend Leah of 'Bellows Vintage'. Was selling her vintage wares. There was just so many beautiful things to see! Here she is above looking sunshine-y and happy. I bought these lovely brooches and this lovely old purse for 50p each from Save The Children stall.
