Be still my mothering heart. July 17, 2014. I have been totally in denial. It started when she turned 5. It’s a milestone birthday but I didn’t let myself get all emotional and bloggy about it. Then she graduated from preschool. And I was proud I didn’t bawl like a baby (although I did tear up). For her next big step.

Sometimes, I have to stop and pinch myself. This life, it’s pretty amazing. Tonight, I finished vacuuming and put away laundry after working all day; mundane stuff. That’s when I heard it…the sound of hearty laughter coming from my room. This image…this is what happiness looks like. March 2, 2013. It’s cr...

The ramblings of a working mom trying to juggle it all while keeping her sanity and sense of humor. Skip to primary content. Five Things to teach your child. April 7, 2013. There are so many things, as parents, we want our kids to know before they start school. I’ve stressed over whether or not AH knows her colors, letters, numbers, etc. But now, being a teacher, I have a new perspective. So I’ve come up with a list of things I want AH to know before she starts kindergarten. 3 Private parts are private.

It actually came out pretty good and Cade had a blast helping! The cake that Cade and I made for Chad for Father's Day! Cade anxiously awaiting us to enter the park! At the show Azul! Cason will start day care - luckily he will have his big brother there to help watch after him and ease Mommy's mind. Cade is quite the caregiver with Cason - he loves to feed him, hold his hand and talk to him and Cason just smiles and laughs at him. I can already tell they will be best of friends. It was a l...

The Working Mom | Balancing health, home life and work as best I can

T’s been ages since I’ve posted here or on any of my other blogs. Due to my current job, I have avoided any and all online social life outside of a protected group of Facebook friends. But recent events in the country have me desperate to express myself. I have no other place to grieve. School – Please, God, no. In that instant – it felt like the world went forever off it’s track. The future forever changed from how it was “supposed” to be. Inside is a different story. How did he end up at that school?
