February | 2012 | Things I May (or May Not) Miss
https://thingsimaymiss.wordpress.com/2012/02
Things I May (or May Not) Miss. My opinions on what I'm leaving behind when I graduate in the fall of 2012. February 23, 2012. As I have progressed through high school, I have gradually come to the realization that I legitimately enjoy all my teachers. It’s not that I am starting to like them more as educators. Mariemont generally has top notch teachers, and I’ve always appreciated their abilities. It’s that I like them more as. Because I, like most of rest of the junior high, was a snot-nosed brat.

January 19, 2012. 9 Responses to “Knowing everyone in my school”. January 21, 2012 at 8:35 pm. Yeppers. Interesting. I always wondered what students thought of this perhaps-too-tightly-knit school community. I love it and think it’s a great place to group up and learn for exactly the reasons you mentioned, but it has to get bothersome sometimes…. Fill in your details ...

Laquo; Tears aren’t salty. The Anxieties of an Awkward Babysitter. Run, Lizzie, Run. April 13, 2012. I was a champion. But despite all of my athletic disasters, I’ve started running more lately. In January, a few friends and I decided to sign up for the Flying Pig Marathon relay, in which we each have to run about 6 miles. While that isn’t all that much to those doing the. Just kidding. I don't at all. But I really am getting better! I just don’t get it sometimes. My theater-geek tendencies are no secret...

Umbrellas in places umbrellas do not belong. What is this nonsense all about? Inspiration comes from everywhere and it would be obnoxious if I prattled on and on about the experiences that shape my *#artistic voice#* . So I’ll just put up some pictures that have encouraged and shaped the plotline of Subject to Change and other, smaller stories that I don’t care about as much. But mostly Subject to Change because let’s be real, that’s my brain baby. Mouse over for commentary because I’m sassy. Mar 16, 2012.

Archives for the month of: March, 2012. Tears aren’t salty. March 23, 2012. Sorry I’m not going to be funny this week but this week just wasn’t very funny. Then, on Tuesday, everything changed. The community found out that we had lost Collin Barton, a junior at Mariemont. I was shocked and upset. Honestly, I hardly knew Collin. But he was a Mariemonter and that means he was family. We care about each other around here; this community is full of so much love. March 9, 2012. When I was in 1. Grade, I thoug...

Archives for the month of: January, 2012. What’s in a name? A lot of awkward. And nostalgia. January 20, 2012. Soon after I was accepted into college, I joined the Northwestern Facebook group and it was time for another big step: changing my Facebook name. If I wanted to meet fellow students, I had to go by my new adult name! So I changed my Facebook title and that’s when the awkward began. Seniors. Still goofy. Summer before Freshman year. Lizzie. Summer before Senior year. Liz. Awkward on the Horizon.

Umbrellas in places umbrellas do not belong. What is this nonsense all about? On being in a small room with lounging naked strangers}. One of the first things people want to know, once they sniff out my sketchbook, is how weird it is to draw from a nude model? How often do I draw from nude models? What’s the most awkward thing that’s happened during a session with nude models? How do I get over seeing their junk? Do I actually draw, you know,. Which, to set the record straight, I don’t. Amazing food within 30 minutes of Mariemont. Skip to primary content. February 17, 2012. I am visiting colleges this week, and finding good food to eat on the road is always a challenge. McDonald’s is okay once or twice, but it gets old pretty quickly, not to mention it makes you feel like crap. Here is a quick guide of where to eat and what not to go near if you are ever driving through the southeast region of the country. The one major thing I have learned so far this week is to just wait and eat at th...
