Complimentary house-fried chips were served with two types of salsa: spicy green salsa, and a sweet, red, tomato-based salsa. The spicy green salsa was pretty spicy, even for me. Food for a bottomless pit. I have been craving Taiwanese food in Philadelphia for a while. My friend recommended Empress Garden (10th&Arch St) in Chinatown for pretty authentic Taiwanese food! An appetizer and three dishes were ordered: Onion pancakes, Taiwanese beef noodle soup, three-cup chicken, and fried pork chops with veggies over rice. Appetizer Onion Pancake 蔥油餅. Onion Pancake 蔥油餅(cong you bing). The fried pork chops were crispy on the outside yet succulent on the inside! Three Cup Chicken 三杯雞.

Food for a bottomless pit. Soon du bu: Korean spicy tofu soup. Jong Ka Jib’s Menu. Beef, shrimp, clam, oyster tofu soup. Soon du bu and rice. Overall, the food was pretty good. Even though the flavor and soon du bu was tasty, I got kind of bored of eating the same thing. I have to mention the bad service– the waitress and waiter were both quite rude and unfriendly. I would give Jong Ka Jib a 8/10 for food and 6/10 for service, and I would have to consider coming back again. Cheesecake Factory in KOP.

The Happy Hour is pretty decent: with off all appetizers, $5 cocktails, $4 wine glasses, and $3 all beers originally priced at $6. To sum up my experience here would be: slow, bad service and average food. Fig 1: Aki Menu, Tropical Passion Cocktail and Cherry Blossom Cocktail. For those who can’t take spicy: don’t eat this dish!
