Blotch and Thrum: June 2014
http://www.blotchandthrum.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
My life, in various craft manias - fabric design, sewing, quilting, dyeing, batik, shibori, screen printing and weaving. And many things, I am sure, I haven't thought of yet. Friday, June 27, 2014. I made my kid a pair of shorts! I talk about it more on the Pink Castle blog today. And how I'm head over heels in love with oxford fabric. The only thing I left out of that post was any discussion of the pattern I used, because it's hard to explain. It's a hybrid. It's Simplicity 1454. And Wendy Mullin's Sew U.

Mama Spark's World: WIP Wednesday
http://mamaspark.blogspot.com/2015/07/wip-wednesday_29.html
Finished Quilts and Projects 2015. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. I am sooooooo close to finishing this Sea Glass quilt! It is my almost finished WIP. Linking up to Freshly Pieced WIP Wednesday. I decided to do a two color binding and thought I would share with you what that looks like. I wanted the Kona Pepper on the front and. Several of the greens in the front for the binding on the back. You can see that the seam between the two colors actually falls right on the edge of the quilt. I have approximately on...

Mama Spark's World: April 2015
http://mamaspark.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Finished Quilts and Projects 2015. Monday, April 27, 2015. I had quite the weekend. I was craving pizza so on Friday, instead of ordering out, we made pizza and it was glorious! I am doing Weight Watchers and I wanted to keep it low in points. Not sure how successful (6 points/slice)but good enough and I was so happy! Then I cut out some more quilt kits for the Ann Arbor Modern Quilt Guild charity quilts. I will bring these to the meeting on Wednesday and share with the group. UGH, but that was good.

don't call me becky: Single Girl Quilt
http://dontcallmebecky.blogspot.com/2014/05/single-girl-quilt.html
Don't call me becky. Saturday, May 24, 2014. Denyse Schmidt's Single Girl quilt has been on my bucket list ever since it first debuted. The curves always intimidated me, so it kept moving to the bottom of my to-do list. When I finally got comfortable with curves while sewing the Glam Clam Quilt. I had more confidence to tackle this project. These templates made the cutting process so simple and were worth the money. I pieced this top during the Ann Arbor Modern Quilt Guild. This quilt is happily living i...

Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Oh, gaudy kitty quilt. I love you so so much. I am 99.9% sure that this is my favorite quilt that I've ever made, beating this quilt. By only 1/10 of a percentage. Background - We moved Phoebe into a twin size at the beginning of summer; hence, she needed a new big girl quilt for her big girl bed. If you learned anything about Phoebe from her Rainbow Kitty Party. My good friend Rossie. This was my original fabric pull. I have some other great cat prints in the stash, but ...

I sew way more than your average twenty-year-old. Monday, April 28, 2014. Jelly Stripe Sandwich Quilt. I've had quite a few people ask for a tutorial for my most recent finish of 2014, my rainbow stripe quilt. It was actually pretty quick and simple to put together—I’m fairly confident that as long as you can cut and sew straight lines, you can make this quilt. Mine measures about 58x64 finished; however, I left out a couple of the colors in my jelly roll and trimmed the size in quite a bit. Cut your top...
