Traxxas Slash and 4x4 Slash, Nitro Engines, Brushless motors, How to build shocks, greases, sealants, glues, etc. 8729;First things first, you paint these bodies from the inside. People recommend that you clean the inside of the bodies with soap and water so the paint will adhere to it better. Some. Say that a light sanding with some fine grit sandpaper is good too. 8729;Keep your hands clean (the less oily your hands are the better). 8729;Use shoe goo to reinforce the body.

Off-Road Radio Control R/C. Traxxas Slash and 4x4 Slash, Nitro Engines, Brushless motors, How to build shocks, greases, sealants, glues, etc. Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Spencer here, starting this blog April 2012 and will attempt to keep it up to date. I have been messing with R/C cars for over a decade and have found many ways to keep them operating smoothly. Jeff and I run Elings Park International Raceway. So I have seen plenty of do's and do nots. I should mention that we do a fair share of customizing:.

Off-Road Radio Control R/C: Slash 2wd

Off-Road Radio Control R/C. Traxxas Slash and 4x4 Slash, Nitro Engines, Brushless motors, How to build shocks, greases, sealants, glues, etc. The Traxxas Slash is the original and best short course truck out there but there is always some tweaking that can be done to improve its reliability and handling. The arrow points to the excessive grease used to hopefully keep the bushing free of dirt. The orange outline on the right shows the washer being larger than the steering plastic. Open up the differential...

Off-Road Radio Control R/C: Slash 4x4

Off-Road Radio Control R/C. Traxxas Slash and 4x4 Slash, Nitro Engines, Brushless motors, How to build shocks, greases, sealants, glues, etc. Been doing a few simple things to the 4x4 Slash to keep it going nice and smooth. If the bearing rotates smoothly , DO NOT. Attempt to clean the dirt away from bearing or spray any sort of liquid to get the dirt off. The dirt will just go into the bearing and ruin it. Sealing up the differential case:. There are two holes that line up perfectly for these transponde...

Off-Road Radio Control R/C. Traxxas Slash and 4x4 Slash, Nitro Engines, Brushless motors, How to build shocks, greases, sealants, glues, etc. I hate to tell you to take apart your nitro motor before ever running it but at this point I do it for every new motor. At least 50% of the time I find little surprises inside and the reason I started to check is that I had catastrophic failures right from the get go. 3) Remove cooling head. 4) Move piston back down to the bottom of its stroke. Apply 3452 Dow Corni...

Off-Road Radio Control R/C. Traxxas Slash and 4x4 Slash, Nitro Engines, Brushless motors, How to build shocks, greases, sealants, glues, etc. This is the best way I have found to build shocks with out a bleeder hole. Fill the shock up with your choice of silicone shock fluid and work the shaft all the way up slowly then back down even slower noting that air bubbles will probably come through the piston holes. Let the bubbles escape for a few minutes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Off-Road Radio Control R/C: Transmissions
http://ezrc.blogspot.com/p/transmissions.html
Off-Road Radio Control R/C. Traxxas Slash and 4x4 Slash, Nitro Engines, Brushless motors, How to build shocks, greases, sealants, glues, etc. 2-3 speed transmissions are generally all self contained and will require little maintenance when running stock equipment. Then comes the day when you upgrade or simply start to wonder what else can I do to make my truck run better? We are putting silicone on the shaft to take up the tiny wiggle room between the shaft and the gear. Green Loctite these bearings too.
