The Homowners Odyssey: November 2006
http://homownersodyssey.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
A wild ride through first time homeownership with a few homos. Thursday, November 09, 2006. Ode to the Home Warranty. Always an adventure this homeownership thing is. We got back from a lovely family bonding weekend in Maryland to an ice cold FRIGID house. When it's colder inside your house than outside, you know you've got problems. The guys come around 3-3:30 (after saying they'd be there between 10am-2pm, thank you very much I could have gone into the office! What did he find? A loose plug, well now w...

The Homowners Odyssey: March 2007

A wild ride through first time homeownership with a few homos. Monday, March 05, 2007. Oh the questions, there's just soooo. For those of you who've kept up on HJ's. Nope We checked in with each other and sure enough, neither of us was moving intentionally. What could it be? My first thoughts went to some distant small earthquake because when I was a kid, there was something like this that happened and it was enough to make the house move a little bit, clinky. Activity (which apparently there was none).

A wild ride through first time homeownership with a few homos. Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Well, I had written a pretty clever entry about our new roof but then blogger promptly lost it, I don't know how but they completely disappeared it. And I don't feel like writing about the roof again just yet. Nothing feels just as clever the second time around. So instead I'm going to give you an update on the kittens. Vermont Twin Odyssey: Sick Day
http://vermonttwinodyssey.blogspot.com/2009/11/sick-day.html
Wednesday, November 25, 2009. I am home with Taylor today, aka Madam Pink Eye. It is a mild case and she is already on meds, so it should be fine for tomorrow. But, never a dull moment. I am attempting to work from home as much as I can, but it's a challenge. I will go in to work for a few hours this afternoon when Penny comes home early. A scene from my kitchen:. Taylor: What 'chu doin', Mama? Chris: I am unloading the dishwasher. T: Can me help? C: Sure, you can help. She helps for a few minutes. We ar...

Vermont Twin Odyssey: Being Thankful
http://vermonttwinodyssey.blogspot.com/2009/11/being-thankful.html
Tuesday, November 24, 2009. And we do not have money for a lot of extras. But, we do have jobs that are dependable and allow us to get by with our basic needs met. We are incredibly lucky to have come out on the other side of infertility with not one, but two children. "One of each," people say, "You are so lucky! The answer, of course is "No, not really.". My mom sent me a magazine article about the top 6 places to live in the United States. Our town was #3! Things I am thankful for today:. We are two m...

Vermont Twin Odyssey: I'm a cheap date!
http://vermonttwinodyssey.blogspot.com/2010/02/im-cheap-date.html
Tuesday, February 9, 2010. I'm a cheap date! Recently the kids have started deciding that they might not need to nap as much or at all anymore. We are devastated by this. And given their recent illnesses, clearly they need more sleep right now, not less. On Saturday, the kids napped for maybe an hour, and then were playing and chatting in their cribs, so we left them in there for a bit. Big mistake. HUGE! When we went in their room, both kids were stark naked and there was shit everywhere. OMG! First, i ...

Yet another lesbian starting a family with her life partner - but starting her blog pretty late on in the process! With food musings from time to time. Monday, January 22, 2007. And the sleep (issue) goes on. As a matter of fact, I managed to sleep straight through until 4.45am this morning before my bladder forced me to wake and rise (and subsequently lie there in the dark waiting for Karen's alarm to go off at 6.30am so that I could "justify" getting up - boring! I am suffering from pretty serious back...

Yet another lesbian starting a family with her life partner - but starting her blog pretty late on in the process! With food musings from time to time. Saturday, August 19, 2006. My sister dropped a bit of a bombshell when she rang me earlier today. She's unexpectedly 6 weeks pregnant! And, being totally selfish now (but mainly joking), I'll have to give my sister back her maternity clothes that she lent me! Oh well, an excuse for some shopping. Posted by Tamsin at 5:26 pm. It's pretty obvious why this made me think of you! Ugh, the thought of drinking wine though. I'd got pretty used to hardly drinking at all whilst ttc, but the thought of alcohol now just simply doesn't appeal in the slightest! K thinks it's great though, as I'm now always the designated driver. Hah. Posted by Tamsin at 6:19 pm.
