THE FORGOTTEN WORLD HIGHWAY 155KMS CYCLE CHALLENGE. 2014 - Date to be confirmed. 22 hill climbs, 12kms of flat metal road, 1 long dark tunnel and 7 railway crossings! Solo and two person teams. Changeover at Whangamomona. Be prepared to cycle one of the most scenic and remote cycle rides in New Zealand. Starts at Central Park Motor Inn (Taumarunui) and finishes at TET Sports Stadium (Stratford). Group E 7.00am. Group D 7.30am.

The Stratford Cycling Club held the 60km Robson Shield race around a testing circuit starting at Stanley Road School, out to Toko School, up Makuri Road and through Te Popo twice. Limit rider Andrew Hare held a 13 minute lead going into the second lap from the fast moving 5 minute bunch, who ended up riding through the field. Powerco Interclub Series Race 4. Powerco Interclub Series Race 4. The Stratford Cycling Club held the fourth race in the Powerco sponsored Interclub Series on Sunday over 80km. In testing conditions, Kevin Hart showed his hill climbing ability to ride away from his co-marker, and rode solo from Strathmore Saddle to take a fine win in a time of 2.18.49, one week out from the Mountain Race. The A Grade was won by Jason Thomason in 1.36.06, after riding away on the first stage, and a strong 6km TT challenge from Mikey McCallum. Powerco Tour of Taranaki. Powerco Tour of Taranaki. A big weekend for Stratford Cycling Club Members at the Powerco Tour of Taranaki. Jason Thomason finished third overall in the 42 strong A Grade after getting in a 3 man break away in the first stage in Kaponga on Saturday. Anthony Visser won the B Grade with a strong ITT in Stage 2. C Grade was won by Paul Roe from Grant Deam and Paul Dynhoven, after the trio broke away from the 48 other riders on the last stage in Inglewood.
