Travelling Tornado

Its taken me a while to write this post.partly because I have had no Internet. Access and partly because. I knew it would be the last. Having learnt to make a home where ever my backpack landed and my head hit the floor has become a skill over the past 6 months but it was really nice to land back at Manchester on a cold, wet grey day, battle through the M61 traffic and get to my mum and dads for a nice sleep.the novelty. Soon wore off and my feet soon got itchy again! The highs in no particular order.

Did I really do that? No it was not an accident. I have always had a daring silly streak and what better way to feed it than. Jumping from a plane at 12,000 ft with a manic 20 year old sports sky diver! Well its been a year of changes and ups and downs for me this was one of the most spectacular uppers and downer of 2007. A real injection of Adrenalin. Which took a good 24 hours later before i could walk talk and think properly again but one of the most awesome. Things I have challenged. I was soon to re...

Travelling Tornado: January 2008

http://travellingtornado.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

A taste of Frisco. I spent a wonderful three days in San Francisco the sun shone and the skies were blue but as expected it was a little chilly. As I layered up all the clothing in my possession. Four vest tops, two t-shirts, a sarong. As a scarf, shorts layered with leggings and combat pants I realised that I did not look dissimilar. To the street guy living on the pavement next to my accommodation. LAX had been less than straight forward and was not a good welcome. To the US involving. To find the site...

We're singing in the rain! Some of you may know that I have a new interest in my life, Graham, who i met inconveniently in May whilst I was planning my round the world adventure. After a few months of 'dating' (feel like a teenager! I had become so used to my own company and even more used to my own way (nothing new there I hear you cry! Also would we still like each other? Once I was able to move again.after the electrics went out, cars started to float and the area turned into a river, gorges appea...

Travelling Tornado: August 2007

http://travellingtornado.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html

Going mad in Madurai. Reduced the crowds and touts. Acres of temple and artifacts in a gallery that most UK museums would have wet dreams over! We stumbled upon a massive market where I decided to have some clothes made by a great little tailor (one of thousands in the city) to replace my trusty linen trousers that rippd on a rickshaw! When not parting with cash at the market just watching the city be with a cold beer from the rooftop bars was wonderful. Pics show yummy prawns and sunrise at 'lands end'.

Coolest public statue EVER! In Washington, DC where I’m from, we have the Washington Monument. I love it because it symbolizes my home in a way that can only be achieved by a large phallic monument. The Travelling 'Toonist

Friday, August 3, 2012. 10 States in 10 Days! Part 1: The North. Well, after the two weeks of driving across America that I've just had, I just had to post here again! I drove from the top of the country to the bottom, not east to west, but still quite an accomplishment, and quite a bit to see. Overall, I spent time in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and finally into Florida, and hit most of those places for a second time. This brought visions ...
