Desert Drama: August 2008

Thursday, August 14, 2008. The sky closed up this evening leaving this little opening in the clouds. It may rain later. At the least we will get some wind and perhaps a lightening display. Watched a program on KAET, the PBS channel here in Phoenix, called Saguaro: Sentinel of the Desert. Was not a recent production, from 1989, though one was able to interpret issues of climate change in the Sonoran Desert without the hysteria of "global warming.". Friday, August 8, 2008. http://travel-me-etc.blogspot.com/2010/06/sarika-waterfall-in-khao-yai-national.html
Travel - me - etc. Monday, June 7, 2010. Sarika Waterfall in Khao Yai National Park, Thailand. This weekend we visited Sarika Waterfall, near Nakhon Nayok, around 120 km Northwest of Bangkok. Although it was Saturday, the place was rather quiet, and met only locals; obviously foreigners must have similar map to mine. Note that since it is in the Khao Yai National Park, a entry fee apply. The usual double pricing, 200 baht for foreigners, and 40 baht for Thai. Keep up the good work. July 1, 2010 at 2:31 PM.

Travel - me - etc. Friday, October 31, 2008. Seebrugge, Belgium, where summer isn't always summer. The town is pleasant, very clean,as you would expect, with many cobblestone walking streets with small shops, cafes, restaurants. But remember, Belgium is not a cheap place! The architecture is the usual European style, though they got many houses more remind me to those in England. Guess I still prefer those other kind of beaches. Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Travel - me - etc. Monday, January 26, 2009. Today I came across something new in our local Tesco, what caught my attention: it is called Pepsi Green. I don't know if it is something locally promoted, or worldwide, but my adventurous side got me, so I had one to try it out. The result of the test:. As you can see above, it is not the battle that green, but the drink itself. The taste? If you also have it available, I would like to know your opinion about! Saturday, January 17, 2009.
