Tuesday, April 30, 2013. The rain chased us inside, but my party rockers still had good time celebrating Jimmy's birthday. He woke us up just after six in the morning to open presents and begin the party. Jimmy beaming as we sang. Because he "gets" what birthdays are now. Anthony excitedly decorating the living room and organizing the presents the night before, so Jimmy could wake up to a birthday surprise. Jimmy saying "thank you for a great day" as we snuggled into bed that evening. A Work in Progress.

Sunday, February 23, 2014. I've got my very own cake boss in the house. One of Jimmy's (new) favorite activities involves baking and cake decorating. Anyone who knows Jimmy recognizes that this isn't a stretch. After all, he's pretty hooked on sweet stuff. But it wasn't until Grandma showed him a few episodes of Cupcake Wars. This year I wanted to do something we could all enjoy doing together as a family, and that something was Great Wolf Lodge! ANdi had a blast splashing around in the water and running down the long hotel hallways, and Ed, Eddie and I had a blast on the water slides together!
