http://sharingalaska.blogspot.com/2015/05/old-things.html
Sharing the beauty of the mountains, the harsh cold, the mosquitoes, the love of being here, anything Alaskan, with pictures and words. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. I have been thinking about old things. My husband took me to Seattle, Washington for my birthday! No, I am not thinking about me being old! For this post I am remembering walking through antique stores. I look around me now here at home and through the years items in my home have become antiques! Yes, he is. Now there they sit. Let's keep living fo...

Sharing the beauty of the mountains, the harsh cold, the mosquitoes, the love of being here, anything Alaskan, with pictures and words. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. It's been a learning experience for me looking out for Mom. She could not live out her days alone because of her weakness and disorientation. There were the little things she did or didn't do that made it hard to let her be alone at her house. Then she had a stroke. Now she cries at a drop of a hat. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. That has bee...

Sharing the beauty of the mountains, the harsh cold, the mosquitoes, the love of being here, anything Alaskan, with pictures and words. Monday, January 05, 2015. Christmas is laying all over my living room rug. That is how far I got even with help from Doug. I have been having a weird sickness. No fever. No runny nose. Just extremely weak and tired. Not sick and tired, just weak and tired. Anyway, today I feel better. Back to cleaning. And I am thankful today that I feel so good. Thank You Jesus! Nationa...

Living In Alaska: November 2011
http://sharingalaska.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Sharing the beauty of the mountains, the harsh cold, the mosquitoes, the love of being here, anything Alaskan, with pictures and words. Monday, November 14, 2011. This psalm opened my eyes to rejoicing about the future of all peoples when God will rule completely, and totally just! It will be a grand day that even creation will rejoice over when the evil one is cast out of our lives and our world functions as it was created to - in full communion with God Who created us! I am looking forward to that!

Sharing the beauty of the mountains, the harsh cold, the mosquitoes, the love of being here, anything Alaskan, with pictures and words. Monday, June 07, 2010. The wild roses in Alaska are in full bloom. They smell wonderful but I have bittersweet feelings when I look at them. I have been told that they mark the middle of our warm season. That is just too sad, isn't it? The trip South was fast and fun! Besides the wonderful trip we enjoyed I am. My sister Millie continues to recover. Monday, June 07, 2010.

Sharing the beauty of the mountains, the harsh cold, the mosquitoes, the love of being here, anything Alaskan, with pictures and words. Thursday, February 09, 2012. Since early last spring we've observed a cow with twins. They kept showing up here and there and different ones of the family would say they saw them. This winter we have had a lot of snow and the minus temperatures began in November! Doug got out his tree trimmer and cut down the high branches and put them near the calf. He ate yesterday...
